I had flakey problems with my 23-yo openor. The wall-switch light button didn't work anymore. Then the door wouldn't open or close more than 1ft per button push. It works perfectly now. I'm glad these parts are still available. My opener was installed 23 years ago. Other brands stop providing parts after 10 years. I think it's a good idea to smear a little dielectric grease on the connector pins. Removing the connector from the original board was hard. They had corroded together I think. I had to use a small putty knife blade to push between the connectors and pry a little to break them apart. It sounded very bad. I thought I was pulling pins off the board (they'd be stuck in the connector). Fortunately that's not what happened. (But, I bet some dielectric grease would help prevent that.)
