Linear ACM4D, 620-100271 eMerge Elite-36 Systems 4-Door Access Control Module
The Linear ACM4D 620-100271 is a 4-door eMerge Elite expansion access control module. It adds four reader ports, eight inputs, and eight outputs to supported eMerge Elite-36 systems mounted in the correct large or extra large cabinet.
This module is used when a site has an existing eMerge Elite controller and needs to bring additional doors into the same access control platform. It is typically selected for larger buildings where door contacts, REX devices, lock relays, readers, schedules, and cardholder management must stay under one eMerge system.
Because the ACM4D mounts inside an existing eMerge cabinet, it must be checked for cabinet compatibility and available space. If the added doors are in a remote area or a separate building, an EXN expansion node may be a better match.
Compatible With
- Select Linear eMerge Elite-36 systems mounted in supported large or extra large cabinets
- Existing Elite systems requiring 4 additional readers, 8 inputs, and 8 outputs
- Commercial access control expansions where ACM4D / 620-100271 is specified
- eMerge E3/Elite projects using ACM add-on door modules with proper licensing
- Related door hardware circuits including readers, door contacts, REX devices, and relay-controlled locking hardware
- Not a stand-alone controller and not a direct substitute for EXN expansion nodes

Technician Note
The ACM4D is a capacity expansion module. If a customer only needs to replace a failed reader, relay, or lock power supply, this may not be the correct repair part. Diagnose the failed component before replacing the expansion module.
Before Ordering
- Confirm ACM4D or 620-100271 is shown on the project parts list or existing module label
- Verify that the main controller is an eMerge Elite system
- Check cabinet size and available mounting space
- Confirm door count, readers, inputs, outputs, and license level
- Verify whether readers must be ordered separately
- Review lock power and fire release design
Professional Advisory
Access control panels and expansion modules should be installed and serviced by qualified access control or low-voltage technicians. Do not bypass door position inputs, request-to-exit devices, locking hardware safety requirements, fire release requirements, or local code requirements.
Important Ordering Warnings
- Do not treat ACM4D and ACM2DB as the same part
- Do not use ACM4D as a stand-alone access control panel
- Do not assume it fits compact enclosures without checking the cabinet configuration
Product Questions & Answers
How many doors does the ACM4D add?
The ACM4D adds capacity for 4 additional readers, 8 inputs, and 8 outputs on supported eMerge Elite systems.
Does the ACM4D include readers?
No reader bundle is indicated for the ACM4D module itself. If readers are needed, verify and order the correct reader model separately.
Can this replace an EXN-4C or EXN-4M?
Not automatically. ACM modules mount in a supported main cabinet, while EXN nodes are separate expansion nodes with their own enclosures.
What cabinet does this module require?
It is commonly specified for eMerge Elite-36 systems mounted in large or extra large cabinets. Cabinet space should be confirmed before ordering.
What causes a site to need an ACM4D?
It is usually needed when a supported eMerge Elite system is being expanded to control additional doors from the same cabinet.
