Front Panel Selections Sensitivity controlled by 8 position rotary switch. 0 = Low sensitivity (Least sensitive). 4 = Medium. 7 = High (Most sensitive). Medium sensitivity is used for most applications; this is a setting of 3 or 4. Always use the lowest sensitivity setting that detects the desired vehicles. Frequency four separate settings controlled by 2 board mounted DIP switches. 2+1 = High. 2+0 = Medium High. 1+0 = Medium Low. 0+0 = Low. Reset changing the sensitivity setting will reset detector. Switch Settings: Switches 1 & 2 Provide 4 frequency settings Switches 3 & 4 Provide 4 mode settings: OFF/OFF =pulse-on-entry, ON/OFF = pulse-on-leaving, OFF/ON = presence, ON/ON = fault Switches 5 & 6 Provide for 4 different Presence lengths. OFF/OFF = 8 minutes, ON/OFF = 16 minutes, OFF/ON = 60 minutes, ON/ON = Permanent Switch 7 Not used Switch 8 Provides for Fail-safe or Fail-secure operation: OFF = Fail-safe, ON = Fail-secure (for power only). Outputs: Most applications require using the fail-safe relay #1 providing presence (detector stays in detect as long as vehicle is present over the loop up to the presence time limit). Relay #1 Normally Open connections are : Pins 4 & 5, the Green (common) and Violet (N.O.) wires from the wiring harness. For a second output (pulse or presence) relay #2 is used. Commonly the #2 (Orange, N.O.) and #1 (Blue, common) are used, this will provide a Fail-secure for power output. When using relay #2 select the proper DIP switch settings for your application. Detect Output in fail secure: loss of power does not cause a detect output to be placed upon power-up. | Factory Settings Output Rating: 5A, 277VAC, 24VDC Outputs are protected from over-voltage or polarity reversal. Supply Voltage incorrect voltage supplied to the unit will not result in damage, the unit will simply not operate until correct voltage is supplied. No fuses need to be reset. 7NH = 24V DC 3NH = 120V AC Inductance Range: 20uH to 1500uH. Temperature Range: -30 F to +180 F. Lead-In Length: up to 1000 ft. with proper lead-in and loop. Mechanical: 4.5 L x 3.250 W x 1.0 H. Indicators - front panel Bi-Color indicator: - Power - Green, solid with correct power supplied. - Detect - Red, solid during current detect. Fast Blinking Red during a current fault condition. Slow blinking red indicates a previous fault. This will continue until detector is reset. Sensitivity Boost automatic during detect except in the highest sensitivity setting (3).
