Out-of-Stock & Backorder Policy

Inventory Availability 

We strive to maintain 100% accurate, real-time inventory levels on our website. However, due to the fast-moving nature of automated gate hardware, replacement parts, and high-demand components (such as logic boards and safety sensors), occasional inventory discrepancies may occur.

Backorder Notifications & Customer Options 

If you place an order for an item that is unexpectedly out of stock at our warehouse, our support team will notify you via email or phone call within one (1) business day.

When an item is on backorder, you will be presented with the following options:

1. Wait for Restock: Keep your order active. We will provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) based on the manufacturer's current lead times and ship the item immediately upon its arrival at our facility.

2. Alternative Substitution: If a compatible alternative part is available, we will offer it as a substitute. If the substitute is lower in price, we will refund the difference; if it is higher, we will send an invoice for the balance before shipping.

3. Immediate Cancellation: If you cannot wait for the backordered item, you may cancel that portion of your order (or the entire order) for an immediate, full refund to your original payment method.

Manufacturer Direct Shipping (Drop-Shipping) 

To minimize delays and get your gate or garage system operational as quickly as possible, Gate Openers Unlimited may elect to fulfill out-of-stock items by shipping them directly from the manufacturer.

• If your item is drop-shipped, your transit time will depend on the manufacturer's warehouse location rather than our Florida facility.

• You will still receive full tracking information via email as soon as the manufacturer dispatches the order.

Partial Shipments 

If you place an order containing multiple items and one or more components are out of stock, we will process a "partial shipment."

• We will immediately ship the items we currently have in stock.

• The out-of-stock items will be placed on backorder and shipped separately as soon as they become available.

• You will not be charged any additional shipping fees for the secondary backorder shipment.

Pricing on Backordered Items 

Once your order is placed, the price of your backordered item is locked in. If the manufacturer increases the price of the item(s) while you are waiting for restock, Gate Openers Unlimited will absorb the cost difference. You will never be asked to pay more for an item once your initial transaction has been completed. This only applies to back order items.  It does not apply to incorrect pricing on our website due to manufacturer price increases or tariff surcharges.
