DESCRIPTION

Q-SEAL 290 detector loop sealant is a onepart self-leveling chemically curing rubber sealant. It is designed for use in both asphalt and concrete pavements to provide a weather and chemical resistant waterproof seal.

USES

Q-SEAL 290 was designed specifically for sealing vehicle detection loops at signalized intersections, actuated vehicle gates and overhead doors.

PACKAGING

Q-SEAL 290 is packaged in easy to use quart caulking cartridges, 12 cartridges per case. Each cartridge contains 30-fl. oz. of sealant. One cartridge can easily handle an entire 3 X 6 loop. Each cartridge has a special flat nozzle designed to fit down into the loop slot allowing you to fill from the bottom up.

SHELF LIFE

Sealant may be stored for up to one year from the manufactured date that is printed along with the batch number on each case.

CURING

Q-SEAL 290 will skin over in approx. 3 hours at 77ºF and 50% R. H. At temperatures below 77ºF this product will take a proportionately longer time to cure. At temperatures above 77ºF it will take a proportionately shorter time to cure. Fill loop slot to within 1/4 of the road surface to prevent pick-up and tacking.

THIS SEALANT WILL EXPAND DURING THE CURING PROCESS!!!

INSTALLATION

To apply the 30-fl. oz. quart cartridges, use a manual, air operated or electric caulking gun.

Q-SEAL 290 flows from the tube with little effort and flows down around the loop wires

providing total encapsulation.
