We've had entry box that was hard wired to our land line for years. The circuit board died so I needed replacement. I got a cellular box from another vender ($350 Chinese knock-off) that only worked marginally - programming problems sending text messages from phone and couldn't get a code to work manually from the box. Bit the bullet and got this. It is excellent. SIM card from existing box worked fine. This one comes with SIM card and instructions, which is great as I had a hard time getting someone at a cell store to understand activating a gate controller. This box has more functions than I'd ever need. Love that it can roll over from #1 contact (the boss) to #2 (me) if she doesn't answer. Definitely a system upgrade as the replacement for my land line system was $1700 |
