EMX LRS-FP-100 Loop Replacement System Flat Pack Kit with 100 Ft Lead
The EMX LRS-FP-100 Loop Replacement System Flat Pack Kit with 100 Ft Lead is part of the EMX Loop Replacement System, a vehicle detection platform used when a standard inductive loop is not the best solution for the site. The flat pack sensor monitors changes around the detection area and sends that information to the LRS controller, which then provides the relay output used by the gate operator, parking barrier, door controller, or access-control panel. This product is commonly used for boom gate control, truck and tow-motor detection, drive-thru lanes, car wash lanes, loading docks, and vehicle-counting applications. The 100 ft lead-wire length is important because a sensor that is too short creates splicing problems, while a sensor that is too long can make the installation messy. Match the physical sensor style to the job: flat pack for appropriate surface or confined installations, direct burial for suitable buried applications.
Compatible With
- EMX LRS-C1 controller and compatible LRS installations requiring a flat pack sensor
- low-profile flat pack sensor for longer lead-wire runs and confined-area installations
- Retrofit vehicle detection where a conventional loop saw cut is damaged, difficult, or not practical
- EMX Loop Replacement System LRS controller installations
- Gate operators, parking barriers, commercial doors, loading docks, car washes, drive-thru lanes, and vehicle counting applications using an LRS sensor
- New or retrofit vehicle detection sites where saw-cut loops are difficult, damaged, or not practical
- Applications requiring vehicle presence detection with a compact magnetic-field sensor and logic interface
- Select access-control systems using 12-30 VDC or 24 VAC power and relay output wiring

Technician Note
Install sensor placement matters as much as the part number. Poor placement, wrong lead length, or a controller wired to the wrong input can cause missed detections or false calls.
Before Ordering
- Confirm whether the site needs flat pack or direct burial sensor style.
- Choose the correct lead-wire length for the controller location.
- Confirm whether your listing includes the LRS-C1 controller or sensor only.
- Review the operator input for open, presence, safety, or count functions.
- Do not splice or bury sensor wiring in a way that conflicts with the EMX installation manual.
Professional Advisory
Vehicle detector wiring should follow the gate, door, or barrier operator manual. For high-voltage controls, damaged pavement cuts, or unsafe gate movement, use a qualified access-control technician.
Product Q&A
What is included with the Flat Pack 100 ft kit?
The kit is commonly sold with the Flat Pack LRS sensor with 100 ft lead wire and the LRS-C1 controller. Always confirm the package contents on the order because sensor-only and controller-only parts are also sold.
Does this replace a saw-cut loop detector?
It can replace or avoid a conventional saw-cut loop in select vehicle detection applications, but the installation layout and operator input still need to be reviewed.
What vehicles can the LRS detect?
The LRS is designed for vehicle detection in access-control applications such as gates, barriers, drive-thru lanes, loading docks, and similar sites. Detection depends on mounting location and setup.
Can the flat pack and direct burial sensors be swapped?
Not automatically. Flat pack and direct burial sensors serve similar detection functions, but the physical installation method, protection, and lead-wire routing should match the job.
What should be checked before replacing an LRS sensor?
Check the sensor style, lead length, controller condition, power supply, relay wiring, and whether the original installation used a flat pack or direct burial sensor.
