GTO SW3000XLS Swing Gate Opener
The GTO PRO-SW3000XLS is a heavy-duty residential single swing gate opener from the Linear Pro Access / GTO PRO 3000XLS series. It is built for vehicular swing gates that need more capacity than the light-duty 2000XLS family while still using a low-voltage 12 VDC operator platform. This opener is commonly used on estate driveways, residential gated entrances, ranch gates, and single-leaf swing gates made from metal, wood, chain link, vinyl, tube, or ornamental materials.
The 3000XLS platform includes an electromechanical actuator, battery-supported control system, smooth start/soft stop operation, adjustable auto-close and obstruction sensitivity, and solar-ready charging options when paired with the proper accessories. In a dual system, the PRO-SW3000XLS serves as the primary/master operator and must be paired with the matching PRO-SW3200XLS secondary operator. Mixing XL and XLS arms or boards can create fitment and operating problems, so replacement work should be matched to the exact operator generation and parts diagram.

Technician Note
The PRO-SW3000XLS is the primary operator in the 3000XLS dual configuration. If the existing system is a dual gate, verify whether the needed item is the primary PRO-SW3000XLS, the secondary PRO-SW3200XLS, or a complete dual kit.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the existing opener label says SW3000XLS or PRO-SW3000XLS.
- Confirm single versus dual gate requirements before ordering.
- Check the gate leaf length, weight, hinge drag, and wind exposure.
- Confirm whether the site uses AC transformer charging, solar charging, or both.
- Verify external safety devices are present and working before returning the gate to service.
Professional Advisory
Do not bypass photo eyes, edges, or other required safety devices to make an operator run. If the gate reverses, stalls, or moves unpredictably, have the installation inspected by a qualified gate technician.
Product Questions & Answers
What size gate is the PRO-SW3000XLS used for?
The PRO-SW3000XLS is commonly listed for single swing gates up to 16 ft and 650 lb when the gate is properly installed and moves freely.
What secondary arm works with the PRO-SW3000XLS?
The matching secondary operator for a 3000XLS dual swing system is the PRO-SW3200XLS.
Can a PRO-SW3000XLS replace an older 3000XL arm?
Do not assume it can. XL and XLS series components may have different control and sensing requirements. Match the exact model generation and parts diagram.
Is the PRO-SW3000XLS solar compatible?
Yes, it is commonly used with solar charging when the panel and battery capacity are sized for the gate weight, daily cycles, and sun exposure.
Why does the gate capacity depend on installation condition?
A dragging gate, poor hinges, wind loading, bad stops, or incorrect bracket geometry can overload the actuator even when the gate is within the published length and weight rating.
