Instead of hardwiring an edge across a moving gate leaf, the system uses low-energy Bluetooth communication between the transmitter and receiver. This is useful on slide and swing gate applications where a monitored reversing edge is needed on a moving section of the gate.
The kit is built for monitored safety applications and is not for basic contact-closure edges. The receiver can accept up to four transmitters, and each transmitter can accept up to two wired resistive edges, allowing up to eight monitored entrapment points when properly installed.
