580010 US Automatic Patriot RSL Output Sprocket (1st & 2nd Gen) 1" bore 13 teeth #41 chain
The US Automatic 580010 is a 13-tooth output sprocket for Patriot RSL slide gate operators using #41 roller chain. It has a 1 inch bore and is commonly referenced for 1st and 2nd generation Patriot RSL output sprocket applications. This sprocket is part of the mechanical drive train that transfers movement from the operator's drive assembly to the gate chain. Worn sprocket teeth can make the chain ride high, skip, chatter, or wear faster than normal. Because the Patriot RSL uses multiple sprockets with different bore sizes and tooth counts, the 580010 should be matched by part number, bore, tooth count, and chain size before ordering. It should not be substituted for the 580030 motor sprocket, which has a 1/2 inch bore, or for the 580015 and 580020 sprockets with different tooth counts.

Technician Note
On Patriot RSL slide operators, chain alignment and mechanical fitment should be checked as a complete system. Inspect the chain path, sprocket wear, shaft play, bearing condition, bracket alignment, cover clearance, and manual release operation before putting the gate back in service.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the operator is a US Automatic Patriot RSL slide gate opener.
- Compare the installed part number, bore size, tooth count, chain size, cover style, or bracket location as applicable.
- Check whether the operator is an older or serviced unit with mixed-generation parts.
- Inspect related hardware for rust, bending, cracked plastic, worn teeth, loose set screws, damaged bearings, or missing fasteners.
- For electrical symptoms, uncontrolled movement, or missing safety devices, have the gate inspected by a qualified technician.
Professional Advisory
This product page is written for replacement-part identification and ordering support. Mechanical drive repairs should be performed with the gate secured and the operator disabled. If the gate is heavy, binding, moving unexpectedly, or missing required monitored safety devices, stop using the system until it can be inspected by a qualified gate technician.
Product Questions & Answers
What chain size does the 580010 sprocket use?
It is used with #41 chain in the Patriot RSL slide gate operator drive system.
Is 580010 the same as 580030?
No. The 580010 has a 1 inch bore. The 580030 motor sprocket has a 1/2 inch bore and is not interchangeable.
Why does tooth count matter?
Tooth count affects chain engagement and drive geometry. Using the wrong sprocket can change alignment, travel behavior, and mechanical wear.
What symptoms point to a worn output sprocket?
Hooked teeth, chain skipping, grinding, uneven chain wear, or a chain that will not stay seated can point to sprocket wear.
Should the chain be replaced with the sprocket?
If the chain is stretched, rusty, stiff, or worn into the old sprocket, replacing the chain or master links may be needed for a lasting repair.
