Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is included in each multi-pack bundle?
A: Each multi-pack bundle includes the stated quantity of fully functional G1T-BX remotes (2, 3, 4, or 5 depending on the SKU selected), each with a CR2032 3V lithium battery pre-installed and ready to program. This makes the bundle ideal for households or small businesses needing multiple remotes right out of the box.
Q: Do I need to program each remote in the bundle separately?
A: Yes. Each remote in the bundle must be programmed to your opener individually. Press the Learn Button on the opener, then press the button on the remote within 30 seconds. Repeat this process for each additional remote in the pack. Most Genie and Overhead Door openers support multiple remotes stored simultaneously.
Q: How does the dual-frequency feature work and does it affect how I use the bundle?
A: All remotes in the bundle use dual-frequency auto-seek technology, automatically selecting between 315 MHz and 390 MHz to find the strongest signal. This ensures reliable operation regardless of which specific Genie or Overhead Door opener frequency is in use, without any manual frequency adjustment required.
Q: Are all the remotes in the bundle compatible with my existing opener?
A: Yes. Every remote in the multi-pack bundle is compatible with any Genie or Overhead Door opener equipped with a Learn Button manufactured from 1995 to present, including systems using Intellicode 1 or Intellicode 2 rolling-code security. The Genie IntelliG 1000 is also supported. All remotes in the bundle are identical in capability.
Q: What battery does each remote use and are replacement batteries easy to find?
A: Each remote ships with one CR2032 3V lithium coin cell battery included and installed. When replacement is needed, standard CR2032 batteries are widely available at hardware, grocery, and electronics stores. Battery life varies by usage but typically lasts one to two years under normal use.
