HySecurity MX000079, 12VDC POWER SUPPLY ASSY
The HySecurity MX000079 12VDC power supply assembly is used when a compatible HySecurity operator needs a 12VDC supply for approved accessories or internal low-voltage functions. HySecurity installation information for the 12V power supply shows a 3 amp maximum output and includes related service parts such as MX000982 power supply cable, MX000078 power supply board, standoffs, screws, and nuts in the installation details. In the field, technicians use this type of assembly when the operator has the correct input power source and a 12V accessory or circuit requirement. The part should not be treated as a generic plug-in adapter or as a substitute for operator power supply boards with different voltage/current ratings. Incorrect wiring, overloading the output, or installing the wrong power supply can cause accessory faults or damage.

Technician Note
Before replacing the power supply, measure input and output voltage, check the connected accessory load, and look for shorted field wiring. A failed accessory can overload a new supply immediately.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Match the installed part number to MX000079 or a confirmed HySecurity parts diagram reference.
- Verify the operator model, generation, voltage, and controller family before ordering.
- Inspect related hardware, connectors, covers, seals, and mounting points for damage before reusing them.
- Do not substitute a similar-looking HySecurity part unless the parts diagram confirms the same application.
- Confirm accessory current draw stays within the rated 3 amp maximum output.
Professional Advisory
Low-voltage accessory power still requires correct polarity and wiring. For mixed low-voltage and line-voltage diagnosis, use a qualified gate technician.
