HySecurity MX000971, PUMP SEAL KIT, HY-SECURITY
HySecurity MX000971 is a pump seal kit for select HySecurity hydraulic gate operator pump assemblies. It is used when the pump assembly requires seal replacement during hydraulic service, leak repair, or pump rebuild work. The seal kit helps restore the sealing surfaces needed for hydraulic fluid containment and pump reliability.
This is not a general-purpose seal assortment. The correct seal kit depends on the exact pump pack, pump manufacturer reference, shaft arrangement, and HySecurity parts diagram. A hydraulic motor nameplate alone is not enough to identify a pump seal kit because the motor and pump are separate parts of the hydraulic drive system.
When servicing a hydraulic pump, keep the work area clean and protect the hydraulic system from dirt, metal debris, seal fragments, and wrong fluid. Contamination can damage valves, relief components, manifolds, and pump surfaces after the repair.
Common replacement reasons may include hydraulic fluid leaking at the pump, worn shaft seals, visible seal damage, low hydraulic performance after pump leakage, fluid loss around the motor-pump interface, or pump service that requires replacement seals. Always diagnose the complete operator before replacing parts, because a failed mating component, incorrect wiring, hydraulic load, or damaged hardware can cause similar symptoms.
Compatible With
- Select HySecurity hydraulic gate operator pump assemblies where the parts diagram lists MX000971.
- HySecurity hydraulic slide, swing, vertical lift, barrier, and wedge operator applications only when the installed pump pack or service documentation confirms MX000971.
- Commonly associated with hydraulic pump service on HySecurity systems, but compatibility must be confirmed by pump pack and operator diagram.
- Not selected by motor horsepower alone; the electric motor can be correct while the pump seal kit is different.
- Do not use as a substitute for pump packs, motor couplers, hydraulic motors, valves, hoses, cylinders, or complete hydraulic manifolds.

Technician Note
A leaking hydraulic pump should be inspected for shaft wear, bearing play, damaged coupler alignment, contaminated fluid, cracked fittings, blocked breather, or excessive system pressure. Replacing seals without correcting the cause of leakage can lead to repeat failure.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the operator parts diagram lists MX000971 for the installed pump assembly.
- Confirm the pump pack and hydraulic pump are original or correctly identified.
- Inspect the pump shaft and mating surfaces before installing seals.
- Verify the repair does not require a complete pump pack, motor coupler, hydraulic hose, or valve component.
- Use the correct HySecurity hydraulic fluid and cleanliness procedures for the operator.
Professional Advisory
Hydraulic repairs should be performed by a qualified technician when the system has pressure-related faults, abnormal gate movement, fluid contamination, or leaking components near moving hardware. Never operate a gate with unsafe movement or disabled safety devices after hydraulic service.
Questions & Answers
Is MX000971 used for every HySecurity hydraulic operator?
No. MX000971 should be used only when the pump assembly or operator parts diagram lists this seal kit. HySecurity hydraulic models can use different pump packs and service parts.
Can I identify this seal kit from the electric motor label?
No. The electric motor label does not identify the pump seal kit by itself. The pump pack, pump body, and HySecurity parts diagram must be checked.
What symptoms can point to a pump seal problem?
Fluid leakage near the pump, seal damage, hydraulic fluid loss, or leakage at the motor-pump interface can point to pump seal service, but diagnosis should include the full pump and hydraulic system.
Is this the same as a complete pump pack?
No. MX000971 is a pump seal kit. It is not a complete pump pack, motor, coupler, manifold, valve, hose kit, or cylinder assembly.
What should be inspected during seal replacement?
Inspect the pump shaft, sealing surfaces, coupler alignment, fluid condition, fittings, breather, and system pressure conditions so the new seals are not damaged by an unresolved problem.
