HySecurity MX002285, ARM, LOWER, CAP, SAM30
The HySecurity MX002285 is the lower arm cap for SAM30 arm assemblies. It is a protective finishing component used at the lower arm area, helping cover the arm end and reduce exposure to water, debris, and corrosion. While it is not an electrical or hydraulic part, a missing or broken cap can leave the arm end looking unfinished and can allow contamination into areas that should stay protected.
This item is commonly replaced during SAM30 arm refurbishment, routine maintenance, or after a vehicle impact or weather-related damage. A cap replacement is usually straightforward, but it should still be matched to the correct arm style because HySecurity barrier arm parts can vary between M30, M50, StrongArm, StrongArmPark, and other families.
Before ordering, compare the original cap shape, arm end, and parts diagram. If the lower arm itself is bent, cracked, or misaligned, replacing only the cap will not correct the underlying issue.
Compatible With
- HySecurity SAM30 lower arm assemblies when the parts diagram calls for MX002285.
- Select StrongArm M30 / SAM30 lower arm service applications where the lower arm cap is identified as MX002285.
- Commonly associated with lower arm end protection and cosmetic/service restoration on SAM30 barrier arms.
- Verify before using on StrongArm M50 or other StrongArmCrash arm assemblies because the uploaded part name and public references identify SAM30 specifically.
- Not for SlideDriver, SlideSmart, SwingSmart, HydraSwing, HydraWedge, StrongArmPark, or general gate operator cabinet use.

Technician Note
A missing lower arm cap can be a clue that the arm was struck or serviced previously. Inspect the lower arm tube and mounting points before installing the replacement cap.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Match the HySecurity part number on the existing part or the operator parts diagram.
- Confirm the operator model, arm configuration, and production generation before ordering.
- Inspect surrounding pins, bearings, bushings, collars, bumpers, hardware, and mounting points for wear or damage.
- Do not select this part by appearance alone; similar StrongArm and SlideDriver service parts may not interchange.
- Have crash-rated barrier repairs and electrical work completed by a qualified HySecurity technician when site safety or high voltage is involved.
Professional Advisory
This is a model-specific arm cap. Do not trim or modify it to fit a different HySecurity arm unless the manufacturer parts documentation confirms the application.
Important Ordering Warnings
- The public part name indicates SAM30. Verify before applying it to M50 or non-SAM30 arms.
- This is not a complete lower arm assembly or lower arm guide.
Product Questions and Answers
Is MX002285 a complete lower arm?
No. MX002285 is a lower arm cap for SAM30 applications, not the complete lower arm assembly.
Can this cap be used on StrongArm M50?
Do not assume M50 fitment. The part name identifies SAM30, so verify the parts diagram before ordering for any other model.
Why replace the lower arm cap?
It is commonly replaced when cracked, missing, weathered, or damaged, especially after arm service or impact.
Does this cap affect barrier operation?
It is mainly a protective and finishing component, but missing or damaged arm-end parts should still be inspected because they can indicate larger arm damage.
What should be checked before installing it?
Check the arm end, lower arm alignment, fastener points, and surrounding hardware for damage or corrosion.
