The Linear 2400-416 is an OEM replacement precision dowel pin from the Linear 2400-series parts catalog. It measures 0.3752 in (approximately 3/8 in) diameter x 2.000 in length. Constructed from Hardened alloy steel, ground finish. 0.3752 in precision-ground diameter for accurate interference or transition fit. 2.000 in length for adequate engagement depth in mating components. Precision tolerances ensure repeatable alignment of gate operator components. Compatible with Linear SWG series gate operators and Linear SG series gate operators among other Linear gate operator series.
A: It is a precision-ground cylindrical dowel pin with a nominal diameter of 0.3752 in and a length of 2 in, used for accurate alignment and location of mating components in Linear gate operator assemblies.
A: The 0.3752 in dimension represents a precision oversized tolerance on a nominal 3/8 in pin, allowing a press or interference fit in matching bored holes for rigid component alignment.
A: Dowel pins precisely locate two or more mating parts relative to each other, ensuring accurate alignment that cannot be achieved with bolts alone.
A: Typically a press fit into one component and a close clearance or transition fit into the mating component, using a pin press or arbor press.
A: Precision dowel pins are ground to tight tolerances and must be replaced with an identical diameter and length pin. Use Linear OEM part 2400-416 for guaranteed fit.
