Marantec 8030278, Replacement Rail Belt with Tab - for 7' Door
The Marantec 8030278 replacement rail belt is the belt-drive component for compatible 7 ft Marantec garage door opener rail systems. In a belt-drive opener, the motor turns the drive system and the belt moves the trolley, which then moves the garage door through the door arm. When the belt wears out, the opener may run but the door may not move, the trolley may jump, travel may become noisy, or the belt teeth may show damage. This part is specifically for 7 ft door applications and is commonly listed with an overall belt length around 226-1/2 inches in replacement references. It should be matched to the original belt, rail type, and tab/connector arrangement. Do not use an 8 ft or 10 ft belt on a 7 ft rail unless the rail has been changed to match.

Technician Note
Belt length must match the rail and door height. A belt that is one size off may install incorrectly, tension poorly, or prevent the opener from setting limits correctly.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the door is a 7 ft application and the rail has not been extended.
- Verify the original belt part number or measure/compare the belt and tab style.
- Inspect the belt connector, trolley, sprocket holder, and rail end assembly.
- Check for worn teeth, belt stretch, cracking, or missing belt tab hardware.
- Make sure the door is balanced before installing a new belt.
Important Ordering Warnings
- Do not install this 7 ft belt on 8 ft, 10 ft, 12 ft, or 14 ft rail applications.
- A broken belt may be caused by a heavy or binding door, not just belt age.
Professional Advisory
After belt replacement, a technician should check belt tension, travel limits, force settings, safety sensors, and door balance before regular use.
