Miller Edge LS-0101 20' Bottom Loop Seal Extrusion Black 3-1/2 in Sectional Door
The Miller Edge LS-0101 20' Bottom Loop Seal Extrusion Black 3-1/2 in Sectional Door is a Miller Edge LS-0101 bottom seal extrusion used on sectional overhead door where the installed retainer accepts this specific profile. It is used to refresh the bottom weather seal on doors where the old extrusion is split, hardened, worn flat, dragging unevenly, or no longer sealing the opening well.
This part should be matched by profile first. Similar black rubber or PVC door-bottom seals can look close in photos but may not lock into the same retainer or may sit at the wrong height once installed. Measure the original seal, inspect the retainer, and confirm whether the door requires the 3-1/2 in. LS-0101 profile before replacing it.

Technician Note
Bottom seal replacement is usually straightforward when the retainer is clean and straight, but old seals often fail because the bottom bar is bent, the retainer is spread open, or the floor has settled. If the new extrusion will not stay seated, inspect the door bottom instead of forcing the seal into a damaged channel.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the required Miller Edge profile is LS-0101.
- Confirm the nominal size is 3-1/2 in..
- Confirm the door type is sectional overhead door.
- Confirm the required length and whether a cut piece or bulk roll is needed.
- Inspect the bottom retainer for damage, corrosion, or a profile mismatch.
- Do not use this item as a safety edge or monitored reversing device.
Professional Advisory
This seal helps with weather and gap control only. Motorized commercial doors must still have the required reversing and monitored safety devices for the operator, door type, and installation date. If the door is moving unpredictably, has missing safety devices, or has electrical issues, have a qualified door or gate technician inspect the system.
Product Questions and Answers
What door type is LS-0101 used on?
LS-0101 is used with sectional overhead door applications that accept the matching Miller Edge LS-0101 seal profile. Match the old extrusion and retainer before ordering.
Is LS-0101 a safety sensing edge?
No. LS-0101 is a bottom seal extrusion only. It does not provide monitored entrapment protection and does not replace a Miller Edge sensing edge, photo eye, or operator safety device.
How do I confirm this seal will fit my door?
Compare the old seal profile, nominal size, retainer shape, door type, and required length. If the old seal is brittle or missing, use the door bottom retainer and parts diagram to verify the correct profile.
Can this seal be cut to length?
Yes, flexible seal extrusion is commonly trimmed to the required door width using an appropriate cutting tool. Cut squarely and avoid stretching the material during measurement.
What should I check before replacing this seal?
Check the retainer for rust, crushed channels, sharp edges, missing fasteners, and floor damage. A new seal may not correct a bent bottom bar or a badly uneven threshold.
