Security Brands 55-T12 7 Day Digital Timer 12 VDC
The Security Brands 55-T12 is a 7-day digital quartz timer used when an access-control device or operator input needs to follow a weekly schedule. In gate work, timers are often used for hold-open schedules, business-hour access, keypad or relay enable windows, magnetic lock schedules, or auxiliary control circuits. The 55-T12 is the 12 VDC version, so voltage matching is the most important ordering detail. A 12 VDC timer installed on a 24 volt or 110 volt circuit can be damaged or create an unsafe condition. This part should be selected by input voltage, desired switching schedule, relay/load requirements, and enclosure location.
Compatible With
- 12 VDC access-control circuits requiring scheduled switching
- Security Brands / AAS gate access installations using a compatible 12 VDC timer input
- Keypad, receiver, relay, mag lock, door, or gate control circuits where the timer rating is suitable
- Business-hour access schedules, hold-open schedules, and auxiliary control timing
- Previously referenced as S-T12 in Security Brands timer family listings
- Not interchangeable with 55-T24 or 55-T110 unless the control voltage is changed and approved

Technician Note
Power-management and timer parts should be matched by voltage, load requirements, battery type, and enclosure location. Do not guess on voltage or wire a high-voltage timer into a low-voltage circuit.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the manufacturer part number and any old/new part number references.
- Match the product family and application, not just the brand name.
- Check voltage, frequency, activation method, receiver family, or battery type as applicable.
- Review the existing wiring, mounting location, and enclosure before replacing the part.
- For fire access or line-voltage work, confirm local code and use a qualified professional when required.
Professional Advisory
Access-control and power-management parts should be installed in accordance with the gate operator, access controller, local code, and site safety requirements. For high-voltage wiring, fire department access, or unsafe gate movement, use a qualified gate technician or licensed professional where required.
