BEA 10LZRMICROLEFT-T, Microscan Replacement LEFT Replacement LEFT
The BEA 10LZRMICROLEFT-T is the left-hand replacement sensor for the LZR-MICROSCAN T swing door safety system. It is not a complete safety kit; it is the left sensor head used to service an existing MICROSCAN T installation. MICROSCAN T is a laser-based, door-mounted safety system for automatic pedestrian swing doors. It uses time-of-flight sensing and gyroscope-assisted door tracking to maintain coverage as the door moves. A left replacement sensor is commonly ordered after physical damage, failure, water intrusion, wiring trouble, or diagnostics that point to the sensor head. Because MICROSCAN T parts are handed and use specific mounting arms, harnesses, spacers, covers, and programming, the left sensor must match the installed side and system generation.
BEA’s LZR®-MICROSCAN T is a LASER-based sensor system
designed for automatic swing doors.
Utilizing Time-of-Flight technology, the LZR®-MICROSCAN T
eliminates the limitations of infrared-based devices. Its
background independence eliminates nuisance detections
caused by changing weather and floor conditions, while
gyroscopes sense the movement of the door for accurate
positioning.
The LZR®-MICROSCAN T provides adjustable pattern depths
that exceed the ANSI 156.10 8.2.2.3 standard and offer 100
percent coverage in all door states (fully open, fully closed,
opening and closing).
Easy To Install
Plug & play technology utilizing a centralized hub and intuitive LCD
interface greatly reduces installation and setup time
Highly Accurate Detection
High resolution, self-adapting detection zones, coupled with reduced
uncovered zones create the most accurate and reliable safety sensor
Built-In Troubleshooting
On-board error log ensures easy technical support
Standards Compliant
Fully monitored internally, capable of external monitoring
UL 10B/C Listed
Fire rated for up to three hours

Technician Note
BEA LZR products can look similar but are not interchangeable across all applications. Match the exact sensor family, handed side where applicable, mounting location, wiring, finish, included kit components, and controller requirements before ordering.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the exact BEA part number on the existing sensor, kit, or system label.
- Verify the application type before ordering: pedestrian swing door, automated window, gate, barrier, or industrial door.
- Check handing, finish color, kit contents, cable/harness condition, and power supply requirements.
- Confirm the controller input, relay logic, and any required monitoring method.
- Do not bypass required safety sensors or entrapment-protection devices during troubleshooting.
Professional Advisory
Laser-based safety and presence sensors should be installed, adjusted, and tested by a qualified automatic door or gate technician. After replacement, the complete system should be safety-tested for proper detection and reliable operation.
Product Questions and Answers
Is this a complete MICROSCAN T kit?
No. It is the left replacement sensor head only.
Can it be used on the right side?
No. Use the correct right-hand sensor for the opposite side.
What systems use this sensor?
It is used with BEA LZR-MICROSCAN T swing door safety systems.
What should be checked before ordering?
Confirm the sensor label, handing, harness condition, mounting arm, power supply, and troubleshooting result.
Can this bypass a failed safety system?
No. A failed safety sensor should be repaired properly and tested, not bypassed.
