BEA 10MICROCELL1DL, Microcell Double Safety Beam Set, 10 Meter Cables
The BEA 10MICROCELL1DL is part of the BEA Microcell infrared safety beam family for automatic pedestrian doors. Microcell beams use compact cylindrical emitter and receiver heads that can be integrated into door frames, thresholds, or swing door guide rail areas where a low-profile safety beam is required. This item is the double Microcell version supplied for 10 meter / approximately 32 ft cable. It is selected when the door system needs a focused infrared beam safety input rather than a wide-area presence sensor.
This standard cabled version is commonly used when a complete Microcell double safety beam set is needed for a pedestrian automatic door. Replacement is common when beam heads are damaged, cable jackets are cut, the control box output fails, or door safety testing shows unreliable beam response. Cable length and single-versus-double beam layout matter because a 5 meter set, a 10 meter set, a single-beam set, and a double-beam set serve different physical openings.
Compatible With
Compatibility should be verified by the original BEA part number, product family, voltage, loop count, cable length, and the equipment wiring diagram. Commonly associated applications include:
- BEA Microcell infrared safety beam family applications
- Automatic sliding pedestrian door threshold protection
- Automatic swing door guide rail safety beam applications
- Door frames or profiles that accept compact Microcell-style cylindrical beam heads
- Pedestrian automatic door systems requiring a relay-style Microcell safety beam input
- Double-beam Microcell layouts requiring two beam paths
- Applications replacing a Microcell double beam set when cable length and control requirements match
- Installations requiring 10 meter / approximately 32 ft cable

Technician Note
Confirm whether the door uses a double beam layout before ordering this part. Also compare the required cable length and whether the job is a standard cabled Microcell installation or an Optex retrofit adapter installation. Similar Microcell part numbers can differ only by one letter, cable length, or single/double beam configuration.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the original BEA part number or Microcell family layout.
- Verify whether the door uses a single beam pair or double beam pair.
- Check the required cable length and routing before choosing the 5 meter, 10 meter, or adapter version.
- Confirm whether the existing installation is a standard Microcell installation or an Optex retrofit adapter job.
- Inspect beam head mounting locations, cable condition, and control box wiring before replacing parts.
Important Ordering Warnings
- Do not substitute a single-beam kit for a double-beam layout unless the door manufacturer and safety requirements allow the change.
- Do not bypass pedestrian door safety beams to keep a door operating.
- Adapter kits and standard cabled beam sets are not the same parts.
Professional Advisory
Automatic pedestrian door safety beams should be installed, aligned, and tested by a qualified automatic door technician. After service, test the door through the full opening and closing cycle and confirm the safety input responds correctly to beam interruption.
Product Questions & Answers
Is the 10MICROCELL1DL a single-beam or double-beam Microcell part?
The 10MICROCELL1DL is a double Microcell product. Match it to the original beam layout before ordering.
Where are BEA Microcell beams commonly used?
They are commonly used on automatic sliding pedestrian door thresholds and automatic swing door guide rail safety applications.
Does cable length matter on Microcell beams?
Yes. Microcell versions are offered with different cable lengths, and the cable must suit the door frame routing and control box location.
Can Microcell beams replace Optex photo beams?
Some BEA Microcell adapter kits are intended for Optex photo beam retrofit applications. Use the adapter version only when the retrofit layout and instructions match the existing installation.
What should be checked after installation?
Check beam alignment, wiring, control box output, door response, and required safety testing before returning the automatic door to service.
