Powered by a 100’ lead, this exit probe offers a sensitive magnetometer to generate a free exit signal for automatic gates. This small underground sensor detects the magnetic signature of a moving vehicle. It allows the gate to open automatically as a car approaches to exit without the need for a keypad code or remote transmitter.
Core Properties and Advantages.
The 100-foot lead-in cable is factory sealed to guarantee maximum flexibility. The probe can be positioned far enough from the gate so that it is fully open by the time the vehicle reaches the edge.
Minimal Surface Disruption: The probe requires only a one-inch hole and a one-quarter saw cut for the cable, making installation much easier than conventional large inductive loops.
This unit can be installed in almost any type of roadway surface, including asphalt, concrete, gravel or dirt. This makes it ideal for bridge decks where conventional loops cannot be cut.
The sensor, once buried and sealed, cannot be seen, making it impervious to vandalism, damage from heavy vehicles and snowplows.
The system is calibrated to recognize the motion of metal vehicle masses in particular while disregarding small changes in the setting.
