GENIE 080837.0694.S, CHAIN,RLR #50 X 69P
Genie 080837.0694.S is a Genie OEM replacement ansi #50 roller chain - open-ended strand (ANSI #50 Open-Ended Roller Chain Strand). This variant has the following dimensions: 69 pitches x 0.625 in pitch = 43.125 in total length; roller dia 0.400 in; roller width 0.375 in; plate height 0.594 in; plate thickness 0.080 in; pin dia 0.200 in. Construction: Carbon steel roller chain; steel side plates, rollers, pins, and bushings per ANSI #50 standard. For use with Genie heavy-duty commercial door operators and Genie chain-drive operators requiring ANSI #50 roller chain. Selecting the correct chain ANSI size, pitch count, and configuration (open-ended vs. loop) is critical for proper installation and operator function.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does ANSI #50 differ from ANSI #41 or #35 roller chain?
A: This chain is ANSI #50, which has a 0.625 in pitch, 0.400 in roller diameter, and 0.375 in roller width. It is a heavier-duty chain than #41 (0.500 in pitch) or #35 (0.375 in pitch). Use #50 only where the Genie operator specifically calls for ANSI #50 drive chain.
Q: What is the total length of the 080837.0694.S chain?
A: The total length is 69 pitches multiplied by 0.625 in per pitch, which equals 43.125 in (approximately 43 and 1/8 in). This is the usable strand length of the open-ended chain before any connecting links are added.
Q: Is this chain open-ended or a continuous loop?
A: This is an open-ended strand, meaning it ships as a straight length without a master link closing it into a loop. Installation typically requires a connecting or master link to join the ends once the chain is routed over the drive sprocket and through the operator mechanism.
Q: How do I read the Genie 080837 part number to identify chain size and pitch count?
A: The 080837 series part number encodes chain size in the last digit of the suffix: a suffix ending in 2 denotes ANSI #41, and a suffix ending in 4 denotes ANSI #50. The middle digits encode pitch count. For 080837.0694.S, the '4' at the end confirms #50 and '069' confirms 69 pitches.
Q: What are the load and weight specifications for ANSI #50 roller chain?
A: ANSI #50 roller chain has a rated tensile strength of approximately 4,480 lbf and weighs approximately 0.46 lb/ft, making it well-suited for heavy-duty commercial door operator applications with high cycle demands and heavier door loads.
