Genie 086565.1013.S is a Genie OEM replacement ansi #25 loop roller chain (ANSI #25 Loop (Endless) Roller Chain 62-Pitch). This variant has the following dimensions: Pitch: 0.250 in | Roller dia: 0.130 in | Roller width: 0.125 in | Pin dia: 0.091 in | Overall width: 0.306 in | Plate height: 0.228 in | 62 pitches x 0.250 in = 15.5 in total loop length. Construction: Carbon steel roller chain with hardened pins, rollers, and side plates per ANSI #25 specifications. For use with Genie chain-drive residential door operators and Genie chain-drive commercial door operators. Selecting the correct chain ANSI size, pitch count, and configuration (open-ended vs. loop) is critical for proper installation and operator function.
A: This chain uses ANSI #25 standard, which has a 0.250 in pitch, 0.130 in roller diameter, and 0.125 in roller width. It is a lighter-duty chain compared to #65 (13/16 in pitch) and is used in smaller Genie chain-drive operator models.
A: The '1' prefix in the suffix '1013' in the 086565 series SKU encoding indicates a loop (endless/riveted) configuration, meaning the chain forms a continuous closed loop with no open ends or master link.
A: The total loop length is 15.5 in, calculated as 62 pitches multiplied by the ANSI #25 pitch length of 0.250 in per pitch.
A: The standard finish on this 086565 series chain is carbon steel without additional plating. A nickel-plated variant exists in the 109269 series for #65 chains, but no nickel-plated variant is indicated for this #25 loop part.
A: The loop configuration means there is no open link or master link to connect - the chain is a pre-formed continuous loop. Installation typically involves routing the chain over the sprockets before the operator is assembled, or replacing it using the specific disassembly procedure outlined in the Genie service manual for your operator model.
