Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the function of the intermediate shaft in the MX trolley operator?
A: The intermediate shaft in the MX trolley operator is the shaft positioned between the gearbox output and the final output shaft. It transfers torque through the intermediate gear stage, allowing the operator to achieve the required speed and force reduction for the door.
Q: Is the 110964.0001.S intermediate shaft kit compatible with SXT or HXT operators?
A: The 110964.0001.S is designed exclusively for the MX medium-duty trolley operator family. It is not interchangeable with SXT, HXT, or SDMT intermediate shaft components.
Q: How do I know if my MX operator needs a new intermediate shaft?
A: Symptoms of a worn intermediate shaft include unusual grinding or rattling noise during operation, inconsistent door travel speed, or visible gear wear when the operator cover is removed.
Q: What does the 110964.0001.S intermediate shaft kit include?
A: The kit includes the intermediate shaft, associated bearings for both shaft ends, and all retaining hardware required for complete replacement in the MX trolley operator housing.
Q: What is the procedure for replacing the intermediate shaft in an MX trolley operator?
A: Lock out and tag out the operator power supply, remove the operator cover and drive components, extract the worn intermediate shaft and bearings, install the new shaft kit with bearings properly seated in the housing, and reassemble per MX operator service documentation.
