HySecurity MX3009, LOCK ASSY, MAGNETIC, M30/M50
The HySecurity MX3009 is a magnetic lock assembly used on select HySecurity / Nice HySecurity StrongArm M30 and StrongArm M50 crash barrier applications. This assembly is designed to help secure the barrier arm at the catch post when the barrier is in the closed position.
Unlike a standard pedestrian door mag lock, the MX3009 is a HySecurity crash barrier accessory designed around the StrongArm M30/M50 barrier arm, upper catch pin, strike plate, catch post, and Smart Touch Controller wiring. It should be ordered only when the operator documentation or parts diagram confirms MX3009 for the specific installation.
What This Magnetic Lock Assembly Does
The magnetic lock assembly holds the StrongArm crash barrier arm in the closed position by pairing a magnet assembly at the catch post with a strike assembly attached near the upper catch pin area. When properly installed, the lock helps the barrier remain seated and secured while still allowing controlled release through the operator control system.
For correct operation, the magnet and strike must be aligned, the bumper compression must be set correctly, and the Smart Touch Controller relay logic must be configured for the gate lock output. Poor alignment, incorrect wiring, or an improperly configured relay can make the lock appear defective even when the lock hardware is still serviceable.

Important Compatibility Warning
The MX3009 magnetic lock assembly is designed around the StrongArm M30/M50 crash barrier arm and catch post layout. The strike plate, upper catch pin clamp, magnet height, bumper compression, and wiring must all be correct for the lock to hold and release properly.
If the barrier has been modified, repaired after impact, or fitted with non-original catch post hardware, verify the complete lock mounting area before ordering. A bent catch post, worn bumper, damaged upper catch pin, loose strike plate, or incorrect relay setup can cause lock issues that may not be corrected by replacing the magnetic lock alone.

Technician Note
Before replacing the MX3009, inspect the physical alignment first. The strike should sit squarely on the magnet after the bumper compresses. If the catch post is bent, the arm is not seating fully, the bumper is damaged, or the upper catch pin hardware is loose, the magnetic lock may not hold consistently.
Also check the electrical side. A failed power supply output, incorrect user relay setup, loose crimp connection, damaged wire through the pivot post, or incorrect Smart Touch Controller relay logic can make the mag lock act like it has failed. Do not bypass the lock output or force the barrier to operate against a misaligned lock.
