HySecurity MX4849, Motor, Hydraulic, RS-24 inch, SlideDriver 80/200
The HySecurity MX4849 is a replacement RS-24 inch hydraulic motor for select Nice HySecurity SlideDriver hydraulic slide gate operators. It is commonly listed as Motor, Hydraulic, RS-24 inch, SlideDriver 80/200 and is used in compatible SlideDriver 80 and SlideDriver 200 operator applications.
This motor is part of the hydraulic drive system that gives the SlideDriver its pulling force. In compatible operators, the hydraulic motor works with the pump pack, hydraulic hoses, quick disconnects, drive wheel system, and controller to move the gate open and closed. When the motor is worn, leaking, damaged, or no longer producing proper drive force, the operator may move weakly, stall, chatter, leak fluid, run inconsistently, or fail under load.
The MX4849 should be selected by exact part number, operator model, serial number, motor length, hydraulic configuration, hose kit, and current HySecurity parts documentation. Do not order by the phrase SlideDriver motor alone. HySecurity uses different hydraulic motors and hose kits depending on model, production date, and drive configuration.
What This Hydraulic Motor Does
The hydraulic motor converts hydraulic pressure from the operators hydraulic system into mechanical drive force at the gate. In a SlideDriver operator, that drive force is transferred through the drive wheel system to move the slide gate along its track or guide system.
This is a hydraulic motor service part, not a complete pump pack, complete drive assembly, control board, hose kit, or full operator rebuild kit. Replacing the motor can correct motor-related hydraulic drive problems, but it will not repair a failed pump pack, damaged hoses, worn drive wheels, contaminated hydraulic fluid, control board problems, or a gate that is dragging, binding, or oversized for the operator.
Compatible With
The HySecurity MX4849 is intended for select HySecurity / Nice HySecurity SlideDriver 80 and SlideDriver 200 applications that require the RS-24 inch hydraulic motor. Compatibility depends on the operator model, serial number, manufacture date, hydraulic motor configuration, hose kit, fittings, and current HySecurity parts guidance.

- Select HySecurity SlideDriver 200 operators
- Select SlideDriver 80 X1 applications where MX4849 is specified
- Select SlideDriver 200 / 444 applications where MX4849 is specified
- Applications previously using MX001143 where MX4849 is the current replacement part number
- SlideDriver 80 and select SlideDriver 200 operators built before December 1, 2018 where this motor configuration is required
- Operator repairs where the original hydraulic motor is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as MX4849
Do not assume MX4849 fits every HySecurity SlideDriver, SlideDriver II, SlideSmart, SwingSmart, StrongArm, HydraSwing, HydraLift, HydraWedge, barrier arm, Smart DC, or CNX operator. Similar hydraulic operators may use different motor lengths, hose kits, fittings, quick disconnects, pump pack layouts, drive wheel configurations, or post-2018 replacement motor assemblies.
MX4849, MX001143, and MX001142 Notes
HySecurity hydraulic motor part numbers can be generation-specific. MX4849 is commonly shown as the newer part number for the older MX001143 RS-24 inch hydraulic motor reference.
- MX4849: Current replacement reference for select RS-24 inch SlideDriver 80 / 200 hydraulic motor applications.
- MX001143: Older RS-24 inch hydraulic motor reference that may cross to MX4849 in current listings.
- MX001142: Related replacement hydraulic motor reference commonly associated with later post-December 1, 2018 SlideDriver 200 configurations. Do not substitute without checking the parts diagram.
If the operator has had a hydraulic motor update, pump pack repair, hose kit replacement, or drive assembly retrofit, verify the installed hardware instead of relying only on the operator model name.
Related Hose Kit Notes
The hydraulic motor and hose kit should be checked together. Earlier SlideDriver 200 / 444 applications are commonly associated with MX4323 hose kit references, while later post-December 1, 2018 SlideDriver 200 applications are commonly associated with MX4578 hose kit references. The correct hose kit depends on the operator build date and hydraulic motor configuration.
If hoses are leaking, brittle, kinked, contaminated, or routed incorrectly, replacing only the motor may not correct the problem. Hydraulic service should include inspection of hoses, quick disconnects, fittings, seals, pump pack, fluid level, and drive-wheel condition.
Not Intended For
- Universal hydraulic motor replacement
- SlideDriver 15, 30F, 40, or 50VF applications unless the exact parts diagram confirms MX4849
- Post-December 1, 2018 SlideDriver 200 applications that require MX001142 or another motor configuration
- SlideSmart or other chain-drive operator applications
- Swing gate, barrier, wedge, vertical lift, or hydraulic arm operators unless the exact parts diagram confirms MX4849
- Replacing the pump pack, hydraulic hoses, reservoir, manifold, drive wheel, control board, or full operator assembly
- Repairing gate movement problems caused by a dragging, binding, misaligned, or oversized gate
- Operating the hydraulic system with low fluid, contaminated fluid, air in the lines, or unresolved leakage
Important Compatibility Warning
MX4849 should be matched by HySecurity part number and operator serial-number fitment. The motor length, port layout, hose connections, hydraulic configuration, and operator generation must match the installed system.
If the SlideDriver 200 was manufactured after December 1, 2018, or if the hydraulic motor has already been replaced with a newer motor configuration, MX4849 may not be the correct motor. Check the parts diagram, original motor label, and installed hose kit before ordering.

Technician Note
MX4849 is commonly tied to SlideDriver 80 and select older SlideDriver 200 hydraulic drive configurations. Before ordering, identify the operator model and serial number, then confirm the installed motor and hose layout. SlideDriver 200 operators made after December 1, 2018 may use a different motor and hose kit configuration.
When diagnosing weak drive, do not replace the hydraulic motor until the gate and hydraulic system have been checked. A dragging gate, worn drive wheels, contaminated fluid, leaking hoses, weak pump pack, incorrect relief setting, or poor traction at the drive wheel can look like a bad motor.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- Confirm the needed HySecurity part number is MX4849.
- Confirm the operator is a SlideDriver 80 or compatible SlideDriver 200 hydraulic operator.
- Confirm the operator model reference, such as X1 or 444, where applicable.
- Confirm the operator manufacture date and serial number.
- Confirm whether the original motor was MX001143 or directly cross-references to MX4849.
- Confirm the operator does not require the later MX001142 motor configuration.
- Confirm the hydraulic hose kit and fitting layout match the MX4849 motor.
- Confirm whether the related hose kit should be MX4323 or MX4578.
- Confirm the leak or weak-drive issue is not from hoses, quick disconnects, pump pack, reservoir, manifold, drive wheels, or gate drag.
- Confirm whether fittings, seals, O-rings, hoses, quick disconnects, mounting hardware, instructions, and hydraulic fluid are included or must be ordered separately.
- Confirm the gate rolls freely and the operator is not being overloaded by a dragging, binding, or oversized gate.
Installation and Service Notes
Hydraulic motor replacement should be done with the operator disabled, the gate secured, and the hydraulic system handled according to the current HySecurity service procedure. Keep dirt, water, metal shavings, and debris out of open hydraulic fittings. Contamination can damage the pump pack, motor, valves, and seals.
Route hoses according to the factory layout and avoid tight bends, rubbing points, pinch points, hot surfaces, moving parts, and sharp sheet metal edges. After replacement, inspect for leaks, proper hydraulic fluid level, smooth gate movement, correct drive force, and proper safety-device operation.
Professional Advisory
Hydraulic gate operator repair involves moving gate parts, pinch points, hydraulic fluid, pressure-rated components, stored mechanical force, and operator drive systems. A qualified HySecurity gate technician should handle hydraulic motor replacement if the leak source is unclear, the gate is heavy, the operator has repeated hydraulic failures, or the drive system has unknown previous repairs.
Do not bypass covers, guards, limits, monitored entrapment protection, photo eyes, safety edges, or other safety devices during hydraulic service. The SlideDriver should be fully tested after repair to confirm smooth travel, proper stopping, correct hydraulic operation, and working safety devices.
