LiftMaster 361LM Compatible 315 MHz Remote 3-Pack
This 3-Pack of 361LM compatible remotes is intended for older 315 MHz fixed-code DIP switch access systems. The listing is commonly associated with the Transmitter Solutions Stinger 315LMD21V2 style replacement remote, which is used when the original LiftMaster 361LM remote is discontinued, missing, damaged, or no longer reliable. Each remote is a one-button visor-style transmitter designed to operate one compatible door, gate, or receiver channel when the DIP switch code is set to match the existing receiver or remote.
The important detail on this product is the code format. These are not standard purple learn button Security+ rolling-code remotes. They are for fixed-code 315 MHz digital code switch systems that use a DIP switch pattern. A customer may see 315 MHz on a remote and assume all 315 MHz devices are interchangeable, but a fixed-code DIP switch transmitter and a Security+ rolling-code transmitter are different radio families.
Use this remote family for older compatible radio receivers where the code can be copied by matching DIP switches. If the opener has a learn button with no DIP switches, or if the system uses Security+ rolling code, a different remote family is usually required.
Compatible With
This remote family is commonly associated with older 315 MHz fixed-code DIP switch systems. Compatibility should be confirmed by the original remote model, receiver model, frequency, and DIP switch format.
Common Compatible Products and Systems
- LiftMaster 361LM one-button 315 MHz digital code switch remote applications
- Transmitter Solutions Stinger 315LMD21V2 compatible replacement applications
- Select older LiftMaster 315 MHz DIP switch receivers
- Select older Chamberlain 315 MHz fixed-code receiver applications
- Select Raynor 315 MHz fixed-code remote/receiver applications
- Select Sears Craftsman 315 MHz fixed-code radio control systems
- Compatible one-channel garage door opener or gate receiver applications using the same 315 MHz DIP switch code format
Important Compatibility Notes
- This is a 315 MHz fixed-code / DIP switch style remote family.
- It should not be confused with purple learn button Security+ 315 MHz rolling-code remotes such as 371LM or 373LM.
- It is not for Security+ 2.0 yellow learn button systems.
- It is not for 390 MHz DIP switch systems such as 61LM or 33LM applications.
- The DIP switch pattern must match the existing compatible receiver or original remote.

- The receiver or opener uses a compatible fixed-code DIP switch format.
- The system is not a purple learn button Security+ rolling-code system.
- The system is not a yellow learn button Security+ 2.0 system.
- The pack quantity matches the number of users or vehicles being supplied.
Professional Advisory
After setting the DIP switch code, test each remote from a safe location with the door or gate in full view. If range is poor, inspect the receiver antenna, receiver location, battery, and surrounding electrical interference before replacing additional remotes.
Questions & Answers
What does this 361LM compatible remote replace?
It is commonly used as a replacement-style remote for older LiftMaster 361LM 315 MHz one-button fixed-code DIP switch applications.
Is this the same as a purple learn button 315 MHz remote?
No. A 361LM compatible fixed-code DIP switch remote is different from Security+ purple learn button rolling-code remotes such as 371LM and 373LM.
How is the remote code set?
The code is set by matching the DIP switch pattern to the compatible receiver or original remote code.
Will this work on a 390 MHz DIP switch opener?
No. This listing is for the 315 MHz DIP switch remote family. Older 390 MHz DIP switch systems usually require a different remote such as a 61LM, 33LM, or compatible 390 MHz replacement.
Why would the remote not activate the opener after setting the switches?
The most common causes are the wrong frequency, wrong code type, mismatched DIP switch pattern, weak battery, damaged receiver, poor antenna connection, or using the remote with a rolling-code system.
