LiftMaster 811LMX 3-Pack 1-Button Programmable DIP Remote Controls
Product Overview
The LiftMaster 811LMX 3-Pack includes 3 programmable DIP remote controls for commercial door, commercial gate, and access-control receiver applications. It is intended for sites where multiple transmitters need to share the same access point or be enrolled into a compatible commercial LiftMaster receiver system.
The 811LMX uses Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP technology as its default format and can be configured for select older LiftMaster DIP-code formats. The 1-button layout is designed for single-button commercial access control, which makes it important to match the remote to the receiver channel setup and operator control logic.
This remote family is often used where property managers, gated communities, and commercial facilities need controlled transmitter distribution. It is different from a typical residential visor remote because the DIP settings, receiver capacity, and commercial receiver channel assignments are part of the compatibility decision.
Compatible With / Common Applications
The 811LMX is commonly used with compatible LiftMaster commercial door operators, commercial gate operators, built-in Security+ 2.0 commercial receivers, and external commercial receivers. Common receiver/application references include 850LM, 860LM, STAR1000, and compatible Security+ 2.0 commercial operator radio systems.
Supported code/frequency paths include Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP by default, plus select 315 MHz DIP and 390 MHz DIP LiftMaster applications when the receiver supports those formats. Older LiftMaster receiver families such as 312HM and 412HM are commonly associated with DIP-code commercial access paths, but the actual receiver model and frequency must be checked.
The 811LMX is the current single-button programmable DIP path commonly tied to 811LM, 361LM, 61LM, and 61LMC replacement searches where the same single-button function is needed.
Use it for one-button access, single receiver channels, shared gate entry, or a single commercial door/gate command where the receiver is set up for that function.
This remote is not intended for standard LiftMaster residential garage door openers. For a residential yellow learn button opener, use the proper Security+ 2.0 residential remote such as 891LM, 893LM, 890MAX, 893MAX, or another supported model based on the learn button color.

Technician Note
For 811LMX remote packs, confirm the receiver model and programming format before issuing multiple remotes. Commercial receivers may have channel limits, master-remote procedures, or site-specific DIP settings that must be maintained consistently.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Identify the receiver model, operator model, and code/frequency format before ordering.
- Confirm whether the site uses Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP, 315 MHz DIP, or 390 MHz DIP.
- For open/close/stop applications, confirm the receiver has separate channels or the operator is designed for OCS remote control.
- Do not order this commercial remote for a standard residential garage door opener unless the receiver has been specifically converted to a compatible commercial receiver setup.
- Document the DIP settings or master transmitter information before replacing multiple remotes at a shared access site.
Professional Advisory
Commercial remotes should be programmed by someone familiar with the receiver and site controls. Test each transmitter only while the door or gate is visible and the travel path is clear. Never use a remote to bypass required monitored safety protection.
Product Questions & Answers
What is included in this 3-pack of 811LMX remotes?
This listing is for 3 LiftMaster 811LMX single-button programmable DIP remote controls for compatible commercial receiver, commercial gate, and commercial door applications.
Can the 811LMX be used on a residential garage door opener?
No. The 811LMX is a commercial programmable DIP remote and is not intended for standard LiftMaster residential garage door openers.
What older remotes is the 811LMX commonly associated with?
The 811LMX is commonly associated with 811LM, 361LM, 61LM, and 61LMC replacement or related-part searches when the same single-button commercial function is needed.
Will this work with an 850LM or 860LM receiver?
Yes, the 811LMX is commonly used with compatible 850LM and 860LM commercial receiver applications when the receiver channel and programming method are correct.
Why do the DIP settings matter on this remote?
The DIP settings define the access code used by the compatible receiver. Matching the wrong code, frequency, or receiver type can keep the remote from programming or operating the access point.
