Liftmaster K-73BG790-3343, E-BOX, BG790-33-43
The LiftMaster K-73BG790-3343 is a complete E-box replacement kit for the BG790 barrier gate operator configuration identified as BG790-33-43. In a barrier gate operator, the E-box is more than a sheet-metal enclosure. It is the service area where the operator's control wiring, terminal connections, and electrical components are organized for the specific barrier gate model. Replacing it may be necessary after corrosion, water intrusion, impact damage, improper field modification, heat damage, or a failed rebuild where the original enclosure can no longer support safe wiring and component placement. Because BG770, BG790, MBG770, and SBG770 style operators can look similar from the outside, the important detail is the exact suffix and configuration code on the parts breakdown. A BG790-33-43 assembly should be ordered as that exact configuration unless LiftMaster documentation confirms a replacement or supersession.

Technician Note
Match this part to the original operator parts diagram before ordering. Barrier gate, slide gate, swing gate, and access-control service parts can look similar while using different mounting points, wiring layouts, suffix codes, voltage requirements, or generation-specific hardware.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the manufacturer part number on the original part or parts diagram.
- Verify the exact operator model and model suffix.
- Check serial range, generation, voltage, and configuration when applicable.
- Compare connector layout, mounting style, harness length, and included components.
- For electrical assemblies, shut off power and use a qualified technician for installation.
Professional Advisory
Do not bypass required safety devices or modify wiring to make an incorrect part fit. If the operator has high-voltage wiring, damaged conductors, water intrusion, or unsafe gate movement, have the system inspected by a qualified gate technician before returning it to service.
Product Questions & Answers
What does K-73BG790-3343 replace?
It replaces the E-box assembly for the BG790 barrier gate operator configuration identified as BG790-33-43. It is not a complete barrier gate operator.
Can I use a BG770 E-box on a BG790 operator?
No. BG770 and BG790 E-box assemblies should not be interchanged unless the exact parts diagram and configuration code confirm the same service kit.
Why is the suffix code important on this E-box?
The suffix identifies the electrical box configuration. Different suffixes may have different component layouts, wiring provisions, or operator-specific arrangements.
Should this E-box be installed by a technician?
Yes. This is an electrical service assembly. A qualified gate technician or electrician should transfer wiring, verify line voltage safety, and test the operator and safety devices after installation.
Does the E-box include all external accessories?
No. Access-control devices, loop detectors, remotes, batteries, arms, and other external accessories are normally separate unless specifically listed with the kit.
