LiftMaster K73-37060 Chassis Replacement Kit
The LiftMaster K73-37060 chassis replacement kit is a service frame for select LiftMaster RSL Series residential slide gate operators. The chassis is the foundation that supports the operator's drive, electronics, cover, and mounting layout. It is typically replaced when the original frame has been damaged by impact, corrosion, installation stress, or long-term wear that affects component alignment. A compromised chassis can lead to chain alignment problems, poor cover sealing, vibration, water exposure, and uneven load transfer. Because RSL chassis parts are model-specific, the operator label and parts diagram should be checked before ordering.
For parts-counter accuracy, treat the part number as the primary identifier. LiftMaster gate operator service parts often share similar shapes, mounting points, and hardware names across several product generations, but small differences in shaft length, cabinet footprint, mounting holes, drive geometry, voltage platform, or operator family can make a similar part unusable. This replacement should be selected from the installed operator's model label and the correct exploded parts diagram, not from a general description alone.

Technician Note
Do not confuse this RSL chassis with CSL or CSW chassis parts. Similar-looking chassis frames are not automatically interchangeable. When replacing a chassis, shaft, or other core mechanical service part, inspect surrounding hardware, bearings, sprockets, chain path, limit components, covers, seals, and mounting points. A damaged supporting part can cause repeat failure if the original cause is not corrected.
Before Ordering
- Match the operator model number and suffix from the nameplate.
- Compare the original part number with the parts diagram for that exact operator generation.
- Inspect related hardware for damage, wear, corrosion, or missing fasteners.
- Confirm whether the repair involves a slide gate, swing gate, residential, light commercial, or heavy commercial operator platform.
- Do not substitute similar-looking LiftMaster chassis or shaft parts unless the manufacturer parts diagram confirms the match.
Professional Advisory
Gate operators can move heavy gates with significant force. Structural and drive-system repairs should be performed by a qualified gate technician when there is cabinet damage, shaft damage, limit travel trouble, electrical exposure, unsafe movement, or missing safety equipment. After the repair, the operator should be tested for proper travel, secure mounting, smooth movement, and required entrapment protection.
Important Ordering Warning
Several LiftMaster chassis and shaft kits use very similar part numbers. Suffixes such as -1, -2, and -5 are important and may identify a different operator platform. Do not assume interchangeability based only on a partial number or product appearance.
Questions & Answers
What is the LiftMaster K73-37060 used for?
The LiftMaster K73-37060 is used as a replacement chassis replacement kit for select LiftMaster gate operator service repairs where the original part is damaged, worn, corroded, or no longer supporting the operator correctly.
Which operators are commonly associated with K73-37060?
This part is commonly associated with various LiftMaster RSL Series residential slide gate operators, RSL12 Series references when confirmed by parts diagram. Other model references should be treated as verify-by-parts-diagram applications unless the installed operator breakdown lists this exact part number.
Can I order K73-37060 by matching the picture only?
No. Many LiftMaster chassis, shaft, and mechanical service parts look similar. Match the operator model label, part number, mounting layout, and parts diagram before ordering.
What symptoms can point to a failed or damaged chassis replacement kit?
Possible symptoms include loose or shifting components, poor gate movement, binding, unusual noise, uneven cover fit, damaged mounting points, corrosion, or visible frame/shaft damage.
Should this part be installed by a technician?
Professional installation is recommended. These parts can affect alignment, travel limits, chain path, arm geometry, or high-load gate movement, and the operator should be tested with all required safety devices after service.
