LiftMaster K94-35225, BATTERY WIRE HARNESS KIT
The LiftMaster K94-35225 battery wire harness kit is an OEM-style replacement harness used to reconnect the backup battery circuit on select LiftMaster residential and light commercial DC gate operators. This harness is commonly associated with RSL12V and RSW12V slide and swing gate systems, including RSL12VH and RSW12VH variations, and it also appears in older LA412/LA412DC style battery harness references. It is used when the original battery leads, connectors, or series connection wiring are damaged, corroded, cut, or no longer making a reliable connection. Because LiftMaster DC operators depend on correct polarity and battery wiring to charge and run properly during outages, this part should be matched by original part number, connector style, battery layout, and the operator parts diagram before ordering.
In the field, parts like this are usually ordered after the original wiring, switch or alarm assembly has been exposed to moisture, battery acid, vibration, insects, heat, enclosure damage or previous troubleshooting work. A small harness or switch issue can create symptoms that look like a bad board, bad battery or failed accessory, so the original part number and model-specific parts breakdown are important.
This is a replacement service part for compatible LiftMaster operator systems. It should be installed in the same routing and connection points as the original component, with wiring protected from pinch points, moving arms, covers, batteries and sharp enclosure edges. If terminals are corroded or the control box has water intrusion, correct the source of the damage before installing the new part.
Compatible With
Common Compatible Models
- RSL12V
- RSL12VH
- RSW12V
- RSW12VH
- older LA412
- LA412DC
Important Compatibility Notes
- Newer LA412U installations may use a different harness, commonly referenced as K94-36891, so verify the exact parts diagram before replacing an LA412-series harness.
- Do not use this harness simply because the battery size looks correct. Match the original connector layout and part number.
- Compatibility depends on the exact operator model, production generation, control box configuration and original parts diagram.
- Similar LiftMaster harnesses, reset switches and alarms may use different plugs, wire lengths, product ID labels or resistor values and may not be interchangeable.

Technician Note
Match this part against the original component before ordering. On DC gate systems, a weak battery, damaged battery terminal, bad connection, failed safety device or stored board fault can produce symptoms that look like a harness or reset switch issue. Inspect the complete circuit before replacing multiple parts.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the manufacturer part number printed on the original part or shown in the operator parts diagram.
- Verify the exact operator model and generation.
- Compare connector shape, wire count, harness length and mounting location.
- For battery harnesses, verify battery size, polarity and series/parallel connection layout.
- For reset switches, verify the product ID label or resistor version when applicable.
Professional Advisory
Disconnect power and batteries before servicing low-voltage gate operator wiring. Do not bypass alarms, reset circuits, monitored entrapment protection or safety devices. If the control box has burn marks, water damage, repeated blown fuses, unsafe wiring or unpredictable gate movement, have the system inspected by a qualified gate technician.
Product Questions & Answers
What does the LiftMaster K94-35225 harness do?
The K94-35225 harness connects the backup battery circuit to the gate operator using the connector style and battery layout specified for that model family.
Which operators is K94-35225 commonly associated with?
It is commonly associated with select RSL12V, RSL12VH, RSW12V, RSW12VH, older LA412, LA412DC applications, but final fitment should be verified by the operator parts diagram.
Can I use this harness with any 7Ah battery?
No. Battery size is only one part of fitment. The harness must also match the operator model, connector style, polarity and battery wiring layout.
What problems can a bad battery harness cause?
A damaged battery harness can cause low-battery warnings, failure to charge, unreliable backup operation, intermittent power loss or visible corrosion at the battery terminals.
Should power be disconnected before replacing the harness?
Yes. Battery and AC power should be disconnected before service, and electrical work should be handled by a qualified gate technician when wiring condition is uncertain.
