LiftMaster MYQL90AXXB Smart Lock, Video Doorbell, and Camera Details
The LiftMaster myQ MYQL90AXXB Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock replaces a compatible residential deadbolt with one connected device that combines door locking, visitor communication, and front-entry video monitoring.
The exterior assembly includes a motorized deadbolt interface, touchscreen PIN entry, fingerprint reader, Face Access camera, doorbell button, microphone, speaker, physical key cylinder, and 2K video camera. The interior assembly contains the thumb turn, removable rechargeable battery, and lock controls.
Three Front-Door Devices in One
- Smart deadbolt: Lock or unlock locally or remotely through the myQ app.
- Video doorbell: Receive doorbell alerts and communicate with visitors using two-way audio.
- Security camera: View the front entry with 2K video, a 150-degree field of view, and color night vision.
Five Ways to Unlock
- Face Access
- Fingerprint recognition
- Touchscreen PIN
- Remote or local myQ app control
- Traditional physical key
Face Access and fingerprint access are unavailable in Illinois, Texas, and outside the United States and Canada. Availability of biometric and software features may change based on location, account settings, app version, and applicable requirements.
Compatible Door Requirements
The MYQL90AXXB is designed for most standard residential wood or metal entry doors using compatible cylindrical deadbolt preparation.
- Door bore diameter: 2-1/8 inches, or 54 mm
- Supported door thickness: 1-3/4 to 2 inches, or 44 to 51 mm
- Deadbolt opening and strike must be correctly aligned
- Door handle or lever below the lock must not interfere with deadbolt operation
- Exterior and interior door surfaces must provide adequate mounting clearance
- Current installation template should be used to confirm backset and hole placement
This product is not designed as the locking hardware for a storm door or glass door. It may be installed on a compatible main entry door when a separate storm or glass door is installed in front, provided there is enough clearance for both doors and the smart-lock assemblies.
Important Door Compatibility Warning
Do not order this lock solely because the existing door has a deadbolt. Confirm the bore diameter, door thickness, backset, latch location, strike alignment, door swing, handle clearance, trim clearance, and interior mounting space.
Mortise locks, interconnected locksets, narrow-stile doors, multipoint locking systems, unusually thick doors, and nonstandard deadbolt preparation may require different hardware or professional modification. Do not enlarge or drill a fire-rated, metal, glass, or specialty door without confirming the door manufacturer's requirements.
Video and Audio Features
- 2K front-door video
- Color night vision
- 150-degree wide-angle field of view
- Two-way talk through the built-in microphone and speaker
- Remote live video viewing through the myQ app
- Doorbell and motion notifications
- Customizable detection zones with an eligible monitoring plan
- Face, person, animal, and vehicle detection with an eligible monitoring plan
myQ App and Network Requirements
The lock connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and does not require a separate myQ bridge or smart-home hub. A compatible mobile device, myQ account, internet connection, current myQ app, and adequate Wi-Fi signal at the entry door are required for connected features.
The primary owner can share the lock with up to 15 co-owners using individual myQ accounts. Each account user can store up to one PIN, one Face Access profile, and four fingerprints where biometric features are available.
Subscription Information
A paid subscription is not required for basic lock operation, remote live video, or basic motion notifications after the introductory trial period. Optional myQ Video Monitoring plans add selected features such as video history, AI-assisted detection, smarter notifications, and additional monitoring controls.
Plan names, pricing, retention periods, trial terms, and included features may change. Review the current myQ plan details before advertising a specific subscription price or video-storage period.
Rechargeable Battery and Backup Access
The included removable lithium-ion battery has an 8,500 mAh capacity and recharges through USB-C. LiftMaster states that battery life may reach up to six months under typical daily use, including approximately ten lock cycles, ten recordings, several live views, and doorbell activity each day.
Actual battery life depends on Wi-Fi strength, temperature, recording activity, live viewing, doorbell use, lock alignment, biometric use, and notification settings. The optional MYQLB4AXXB rechargeable spare battery can be kept charged for a quick battery swap.
If the installed battery is fully depleted, the door can still be unlocked with a supplied physical key. A 9-volt battery can also be held against the emergency terminals on the bottom of the exterior assembly to provide temporary power for an electronic access method.
Auto-Lock and Mechanical Keying
The auto-lock feature can be enabled through the myQ app with selectable delays of 30, 60, 90, 120, or 180 seconds. Confirm smooth latch and deadbolt movement before enabling automatic locking.
The mechanical cylinder uses a Schlage-style keyway and can be rekeyed by a qualified locksmith. Two physical keys are included with the lock.

Installation and Service Notes
The deadbolt must extend and retract smoothly without forcing the motor. Repair door sag, strike misalignment, weather-strip pressure, or a binding latch before installing or calibrating the lock.
Use the included template and current installation instructions when modifying the door. Do not rely on measurements from another smart-lock model, even when the exterior assemblies appear similar.
After physical installation, use the myQ app to add the device, connect it to Wi-Fi, calibrate the lock, configure access credentials, and test the door-position sensor. Confirm key access and 9-volt emergency power before relying on electronic entry.
Technician Note
Frequent low-battery warnings may be caused by weak Wi-Fi, heavy video use, cold weather, repeated live streaming, a binding deadbolt, incorrect calibration, or a door that moves against the latch. Correct the mechanical or network issue before repeatedly replacing the battery.
Keep at least one physical key accessible outside the locked home. A spare rechargeable battery can reduce downtime, but it does not replace the need for mechanical emergency access.
Professional Advisory
A smart lock is part of the home's access and security system. Confirm local fire-egress requirements, rental or association rules, door ratings, and required mechanical operation before modifying an entry door.
Door drilling, lock alignment, rekeying, damaged wiring, repeated jamming, or uncertain fire-door requirements should be handled by a qualified locksmith, door technician, or access-control professional.
