Liftmaster XMANTKIT Radio Antenna Kit, CAPXM/CAPXLV2
The LiftMaster XMANTKIT is an external radio antenna kit for compatible LiftMaster Smart Video Intercom systems. It is used when the intercom is using the onboard Passport Security+ 2.0 radio and needs the correct external antenna hardware for Passport or Passport Lite remote-control operation. This is an antenna accessory, not a receiver board, keypad, Wi-Fi module, subscription device, or complete intercom.
This kit is most commonly selected when adding Passport remote capability to a CAPXM or CAPXLV2 installation, replacing missing or damaged radio antenna hardware, or improving radio antenna placement within the limits of the LiftMaster installation instructions. Correct antenna type matters because the CAPX intercoms can use separate radio and Wi-Fi antenna hardware. Mixing the radio antenna kit with a Wi-Fi antenna accessory can create range complaints and setup confusion.

Technician Note
Keep the radio antenna and Wi-Fi antennas separated as directed by the installation manual. Mounting location, metal enclosures, and cable routing can make a large difference in usable Passport remote range.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the intercom is CAPXM or CAPXLV2.
- Confirm the issue involves Passport radio range, not Wi-Fi signal.
- Verify the antenna port and connector style before ordering.
- Do not bend, straighten, cut, or modify the pre-formed antenna.
- Check whether an antenna extension accessory is needed for the installation location.
Professional Advisory
Access-control radio range issues can involve programming, receiver configuration, credential type, metal mounting surfaces, and interference. A qualified access-control technician should inspect the full system when range problems continue after antenna replacement.
Important Ordering Warning
Do not use this radio antenna kit as a substitute for the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antenna or Wi-Fi extension kit used on smart video intercom network connections.
Product Questions and Answers
Does this antenna kit make a CAPXM or CAPXLV2 work with Passport remotes?
The XMANTKIT is used with CAPXM and CAPXLV2 Smart Video Intercoms when using the onboard Passport Security+ 2.0 radio with compatible Passport or Passport Lite credentials. The intercom and credential setup must still be programmed correctly.
Is this the same as a Wi-Fi antenna?
No. XMANTKIT is the radio antenna kit for the Passport / Security+ 2.0 radio side of compatible smart video intercoms. Wi-Fi antenna kits and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antennas are different parts.
Can I straighten or reshape the antenna?
No. The antenna shape is part of the design. Bending, straightening, or modifying it can reduce range or damage the antenna.
Will this fix every remote range problem?
Not always. Range can also be affected by programming, receiver settings, metal mounting surfaces, RF interference, wiring, credential type, and where the antenna is mounted.
Can this be used on older LiftMaster telephone entry systems?
This kit is intended for supported LiftMaster Smart Video Intercom applications such as CAPXM and CAPXLV2, not older EL, IPAC, or standard receiver systems unless a parts diagram specifically calls for it.
