MMTC PRH-100 Interior Flush-Mount Emergency Egress Control
The MMTC PRH-100 is an interior flush-mount emergency egress control used where a manual release point is needed for a door, gate, or access-controlled opening. It provides a pull-handle style release connection and includes 15 feet of cable with an S-hook, allowing the release point to be connected to a compatible lock, latch, or egress mechanism as designed by the system.
This standard PRH-100 version has the handle flush with the faceplate. It is typically used inside secured areas where occupants may need a mechanical way to release or open an access point during an emergency or when power/control equipment fails. Correct placement and proper mechanical connection are critical because this device is part of the egress path, not just a decorative pull station.
Use this item when replacing an existing PRH-100 or when the job plans call for a flush-handle interior emergency egress control with matching faceplate and back box dimensions. For ADA-style handle projection, compare against PRH-100ADA instead.
Compatible With
- Interior emergency egress release stations
- Controlled pedestrian gate or door egress applications with compatible mechanical release linkage
- Access-controlled openings requiring a manual pull release point
- Applications replacing MMTC PRH-100
- Installations using 15 ft cable with S-hook release linkage
- Not a lock by itself and not a powered operator control station

Technician Note
Emergency egress hardware must be selected and mounted according to the actual exit path and local requirements. Do not shorten, reroute, or improvise the release linkage without checking that the release works reliably after installation.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm whether the standard flush-handle PRH-100 or ADA-style PRH-100ADA is required.
- Verify faceplate and back box dimensions.
- Check the release mechanism, latch, lock, or gate hardware that the cable will operate.
- Confirm the 15 ft cable length is suitable for the installation.
- Test the mechanical release after installation under normal and failure conditions.
Professional Advisory
Emergency release and egress hardware affects life-safety function. Installation should follow local code requirements and should be tested by a qualified technician or authority responsible for the opening.
Important Ordering Warnings
- PRH-100 is not the ADA handle projection version. Compare to PRH-100ADA when accessibility requirements apply.
- This device does not replace required electric locks, access-control logic, or code-compliant egress hardware by itself.
Product Questions & Answers
What is included with the PRH-100?
The PRH-100 is commonly listed with 15 feet of cable and an S-hook.
How is PRH-100 different from PRH-100ADA?
PRH-100 has the handle flush with the faceplate. PRH-100ADA has a handle that extends slightly to meet ADA-style access requirements.
Is this an electrical switch?
No. It is a mechanical emergency egress release control, not a powered push button or electrical control station.
Where is this normally installed?
It is typically installed indoors at a controlled gate, door, or access point where a manual egress release is needed.
Can the release cable be extended?
Cable changes should only be made when the release can still operate safely and reliably. Verify the mechanism after any routing or length change.
