NICE Apollo 10058890 Limit Sub Assembly for Vanguard 3501 Operator
The 10058890 limit sub assembly is part of the travel-control hardware used in the Apollo Vanguard 3501 swing gate operator family. The limit assembly gives the operator a repeatable reference for gate open and close positions so the control system knows when to stop the motor. When the limit block, bracket, terminal connections, or related switch hardware is worn or damaged, the gate may overtravel, stop short, run inconsistently, or require repeated limit adjustments. This assembly is intended for service repairs where the installed Vanguard operator uses the matching limit layout. It should be matched against the actual operator parts diagram because other Apollo limit blocks and switch assemblies can look similar but use different brackets, terminal arrangements, or mounting positions.
This is a fitment-sensitive gate operator service part. Match the part number, operator family, control box style, hardware style, and installed system layout before ordering. Similar NICE Apollo parts may look close in photos but can differ by mounting hole pattern, actuator generation, board revision, safety monitoring requirement, or included hardware.
Compatible With

Technician Note
- Limit repairs should be followed by a full open and close travel test.
- If the gate is physically binding or missing stops, replacing the limit assembly alone may not solve the problem.
- Do not substitute a similar-looking limit block unless the parts diagram confirms fitment.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the operator is a Vanguard 3501 or matching 35001K style unit.
- Compare the old limit bracket, switch block, and terminal block to the replacement.
- Inspect limit wiring for corrosion, broken conductors, or loose terminals.
- Check gate hinges, stops, and mechanical travel before adjusting limits.
- Test all safety devices after the repair and before returning the gate to service.
Professional Advisory
Gate operators can involve stored force, moving gate hardware, low-voltage accessories, battery systems, and line-voltage power inside the control box. Do not bypass monitored safety devices or operate a gate with unsafe movement. For control-board replacement, electrical troubleshooting, welding, or unknown wiring conditions, use a qualified gate technician.
Product Questions & Answers
What symptoms can point to a bad limit assembly?
Common symptoms include stopping short, overtravel, inconsistent open or close points, repeated limit adjustments, or visible damage to the switch block or bracket.
Is 10058890 the same as every Apollo limit block?
No. Apollo used different limit assemblies across operator families. Match the installed Vanguard 3501 style limit assembly before ordering.
Does this include the terminal block?
Yes, this item is commonly described as including the bracket, limit switch block, and terminal block.
Can a limit assembly fix a gate that is binding?
No. If the gate is binding mechanically, the gate hardware must be repaired first. The limit assembly only handles travel position feedback.
Should limits be adjusted after replacement?
Yes. After installing a limit assembly, the gate travel and stopping points must be checked and adjusted according to the operator instructions.
