SES T4HF250, TEC 4 HANDSFREE, 250 CAP
The SES T4HF250 is a TEC4 hands-free telephone entry control system from Select Engineered Systems. It is designed for properties that need a 250-capacity telephone entry system with a larger 4-line display. This model is commonly selected for apartments, gated entrances, commercial buildings, parking access points, and controlled-entry locations where visitor calling, PIN/code access, and relay-based gate or door release are required.
This model is commonly listed as the TEC 4 hands-free 250 capacity unit. The TEC4 format is part of the SES TEC2 Series family, but it should not be confused with the smaller TEC2 display format or the larger TEC10 display format. TEC4 models are commonly associated with a backlit LCD display that can show four names at the same time, giving visitors more directory information on screen than the TEC2 single-name style display.
The T4HF250 should be treated as a telephone entry control system, not as a gate opener, gate operator control board, card reader, or safety device. It provides the visitor calling, directory display, PIN/code access, access-command, and relay-control side of the system. The gate operator, door hardware, phone service, power supply, pedestal, mounting hardware, communication accessories, card-access options, and field wiring must still be selected and verified separately.
What This Unit Does
The SES T4HF250 allows a visitor to use the entry station to locate or call a programmed resident, tenant, office, department, or authorized user. Once the call connects, the authorized person can speak with the visitor and release the gate or door using the programmed touch-tone command, depending on how the system is wired and configured.
The TEC4 display format is useful when the property needs a larger visible directory than a TEC2 single-name display, but does not need the TEC10 10-line display. The four-line display can show more names at once, which helps visitors scroll through the directory more easily on small and mid-size properties.
The T4HF250 is commonly listed with 250 phone capacity and 260 PIN capacity. The TEC4 platform is also commonly associated with two standard relays for controlling two entrances or access points. Depending on the selected configuration and accessories, TEC Series systems may support modem programming, TCP/IP programming with the correct NIC2 card option, line-sharing accessories, and card-access options. These options should be verified against the exact package before publishing or ordering.
Compatible With
The SES T4HF250 is intended for select SES TEC4 / TEC2 Series telephone entry control applications where 250 phone/user capacity and a 4-line display are required. Compatibility depends on the exact TEC4 configuration, display style, communication method, relay wiring, programming method, mounting style, power requirements, and any optional access-control hardware used on the site.

Important Ordering Warnings
- Confirm the exact part number: T4HF250 should be matched by part number and TEC4 platform, not only by capacity.
- Do not confuse TEC4 with TEC2: T4HF250 is the TEC4 4-line display version. It is not the same as T2HF250 or a smaller TEC2 display model.
- Do not confuse TEC4 with TEC10: TEC4 displays four names / four lines. TEC10 models are separate 10-line display units.
- Confirm capacity: This model is commonly listed with 250 phone capacity and 260 PIN capacity. If the property may grow beyond that, review a higher-capacity SES configuration before ordering.
- Confirm communication method: Telephone entry systems may require a phone line, VoIP/SIP adapter, cellular interface, modem option, TCP/IP option, NIC2 card option, line-sharing module, or other communication equipment depending on the site.
- Card access may require options: TEC4 systems may support optional card access configurations, but T4HF250 should not be advertised as a complete card-access system unless the exact package includes the correct card-access hardware and software.
- This is not the gate operator: The T4HF250 sends the access command. The gate operator or door-control device must be installed, wired, and operating correctly on its own.

Professional Advisory
Telephone entry installation requires proper low-voltage wiring, telephone or communication wiring, relay wiring, grounding, surge protection, programming, directory setup, PIN or code programming where applicable, and gate or door hardware coordination. A qualified access-control technician should handle the installation when the site includes remote programming, VoIP/SIP conversion, cellular conversion, TCP/IP programming, card access, commercial door hardware, long outdoor cable runs, or an existing database transfer.
Do not connect telephone entry equipment in a way that bypasses gate safety devices, monitored entrapment protection, fire access requirements, emergency release requirements, or door life-safety hardware. The T4HF250 should only command a properly installed gate operator or door-control device through the correct relay or input interface.
