Transmitter Solutions RECTSNANO869 868 MHz HIVE Nano Receiver Compatibility Details
The Transmitter Solutions RECTSNANO869 is the 868 MHz configuration associated with the HIVE Nano receiver family. This compact stand-alone receiver provides one relay channel, memory for up to 85 users, and 12-24 VAC/DC self-adjusting power. The current Transmitter Solutions HIVE Nano documentation lists 318 MHz, 433 MHz, and 868 MHz frequency configurations, with the 868 MHz version carrying the 85-user memory specification.
Transmitter Solutions currently publishes the main receiver family under the part reference RECTSNANO. The supplied RECTSNANO869 catalog SKU should be verified against the physical receiver label when replacing an existing unit because the public manufacturer product page does not separately display the RECTSNANO869 suffix.
What This HIVE Nano Receiver Does
The HIVE Nano receiver accepts compatible radio transmitter commands and activates one C-NO relay output. The relay can provide a control signal to compatible gate, garage door, automatic closing, security, or other low-voltage control equipment when the receiving frequency, transmitter coding, power supply, and relay interface are correct.
The receiver is designed as a compact stand-alone radio control device. Its small housing is useful where control cabinet space is limited, but the IP2X housing rating means the receiver should be installed in an appropriate protected enclosure for outdoor gate or exposed applications.
All Verified HIVE Nano Applications
Transmitter Solutions documentation identifies the RECTSNANO receiver family for the following applications:
- Automatic gate control.
- Garage door control.
- Automatic closing systems.
- Rolling shutter control.
- Awning control.
- Anti-burglar and security system applications.
- Lighting control applications.
These are manufacturer-documented receiver family applications. The connected equipment must provide a compatible relay control input and must remain within the receiver relay ratings. An unknown mains-voltage or high-current load should not be switched directly through the receiver relay.
Verified 868 MHz Receiver Compatibility
- HIVE Nano receiver family 868 MHz frequency configuration.
- Compatible handheld transmitter types using the correct supported receiver frequency and coding system.
- Compatible wall-mounted transmitter types using the correct supported receiver frequency and coding system.
- Equipment accepting a C-NO relay control signal within the published relay ratings.
- 12-24 VAC/DC compatible low-voltage power applications.
The current manufacturer product page states that the Nano receiver family is compatible with a wide variety of handheld and wall-mounted transmitters. However, the current public HIVE Nano page and cut sheet do not name exact 868 MHz transmitter model numbers. Confirm the transmitter part number, 868 MHz frequency, and coding compatibility before ordering or programming remotes.
Important 868 MHz Frequency Warning
The 868 MHz HIVE Nano receiver should not be treated as interchangeable with the 318 MHz or 433 MHz versions. Frequency is a primary compatibility requirement. A transmitter operating at 318 MHz or 433 MHz will not become compatible simply because it is from the same receiver family or has a similar housing.
When replacing an existing Nano receiver, check the frequency marking on the old receiver and the transmitter model or frequency before ordering. Do not identify the correct receiver only by the clear housing or terminal layout.
One C-NO Relay Output
The receiver has one relay and one C-NO output contact arrangement. This provides a Common and Normally Open contact. The current HIVE Nano cut sheet does not list a Normally Closed relay contact for this receiver.
Before replacing another stand-alone receiver, confirm how the existing control wires are connected. A system requiring an NC output, multiple relay channels, or a different relay arrangement should not automatically be converted to this receiver without confirming the control requirements.
Adjustable Time Hold Feature
The HIVE Nano family supports an adjustable time hold feature up to 30 seconds. Manufacturer operating documentation describes pulse and delayed relay operation, with the delayed release time programmable from 1 to 30 seconds.
This can be useful when the controlled input requires a longer relay activation than a brief momentary command. The correct operating mode should be selected for the connected gate operator, garage door control, security input, or other device.
Power Supply Requirements
The HIVE Nano receiver uses 12-24 VAC/DC self-adjusting power. The current cut sheet lists 9 mA consumption at rest at either 12V or 24V, 26 mA with the relay activated at 12V, and 31 mA with the relay activated at 24V.
Use a suitable low-voltage power source and follow the manufacturer installation requirements. For damaged power circuits, unknown voltage, transformer problems, or unsafe wiring, have a qualified gate, garage, low-voltage, access control, or electrical technician inspect the system.
Similar HIVE Nano Versions Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
- 318 MHz HIVE Nano: The current product page lists the 318 MHz configuration with 44-memory capacity. It is a different frequency version and should not be substituted for the 868 MHz receiver.
- 433 MHz HIVE Nano: The current product page lists the 433 MHz configuration with 85-memory capacity. Matching memory size does not make it radio compatible with 868 MHz transmitters.
- Garage door model: The current HIVE Nano cut sheet separately notes that a garage door model is available. Do not assume a garage-door-specific Nano configuration is the same SKU as RECTSNANO869 without checking the part label and application.

Manufacturer Document and Part Reference Notes
The current Transmitter Solutions product page identifies the Nano Long Range Receiver as part number RECTSNANO and lists 318 MHz, 433 MHz, and 868 MHz configurations. The manufacturer does not separately display the RECTSNANO869 suffix on that public page. For an existing receiver replacement, verify the physical part label and 868 MHz frequency before ordering.
The current product page lists overall dimensions of 2 x 1.25 x 0.75 inches, while the current HIVE Nano cut sheet lists 2 x 1.25 x 0.8 inches. Treat the dimensions as approximately 2 x 1.25 x 0.75 to 0.8 inches when enclosure clearance is tight.
The current product page and cut sheet state a 5-year warranty. The linked receiver manual contains older 24-month guarantee language. Warranty coverage for the shipped receiver should follow the applicable current manufacturer terms for that product and production date.
Package Contents and Programming Accessories
The current public product page and HIVE Nano cut sheet do not provide a detailed package contents list for the 868 MHz configuration. The manufacturer lists push-to-learn programming and a 2-button handheld programming remote as programming options, but this does not confirm that a programming remote is included with RECTSNANO869.
Confirm required transmitters and programming accessories separately. Do not assume a transmitter, external enclosure, power supply, or programming remote is included unless specifically shown with the item being ordered.
Technician Note
The biggest ordering mistake on this receiver is matching the housing instead of the radio frequency. The 318 MHz, 433 MHz, and 868 MHz Nano versions are part of the same receiver family and can look closely related. Check the old receiver frequency and transmitter frequency before ordering. Also verify that the application uses a C-NO relay input because this receiver is not documented with an NC relay contact.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the supplied SKU or physical receiver part label.
- Verify that the required receiver frequency is 868 MHz.
- Check the existing transmitter model and operating frequency.
- Confirm transmitter coding compatibility with the 868 MHz HIVE Nano receiver.
- Verify that one receiver channel is sufficient.
- Confirm that 85-user memory meets the site requirement.
- Verify that the controlled equipment accepts a C-NO relay input.
- Confirm 12-24 VAC/DC low-voltage power availability.
- Check the protected enclosure and mounting location for the IP2X receiver housing.
- Confirm whether transmitters or programming accessories must be ordered separately.
Installation and Service Notes
Install the receiver in a suitable protected location and use a compatible low-voltage power source. Receiver range can be affected by enclosure material, antenna placement, nearby metal, interference, and the installation environment. The published range is 500 to 600 ft, but actual site range can vary.
Do not bypass gate safety devices, monitored entrapment protection, photo eyes, safety edges, garage door reversal systems, emergency access, or operator safety circuits when installing or troubleshooting a receiver. The Nano receiver should provide the intended control command only; the gate or door operator safety system must remain operational.
Professional Advisory
If the existing receiver wiring, relay function, control voltage, or connected load cannot be positively identified, have a qualified gate, garage, low-voltage, or access control technician inspect the system. Do not switch an unknown mains-voltage or high-current load directly through the receiver relay.
