The LA400 utilizes a 24VDC motor, which offers a significant advantage over traditional AC systems:
Soft Start/Stop: This reduces the mechanical shock to the gate hinges and the actuator's internal gears. By ramping up the torque slowly, the LA400 prevents the "whiplash" effect common in older AC units.
Duty Cycle: The LA400 is rated for approximately 100 cycles per day. With a maximum duty cycle of 4 minutes "on," it is optimized for residential use and small gated communities.
