US Automatic 580060 Delron Idler Roller Assembly for Patriot RSL
The US Automatic 580060 is the Delron idler roller assembly used on Patriot RSL slide gate openers. Its job is to keep the drive chain tracking correctly through the operator, helping the chain stay aligned with the sprocket during opening and closing travel.
A worn or damaged idler roller can create chain noise, uneven chain tracking, premature sprocket wear, or inconsistent slide gate movement. Replacing the roller helps restore smooth low-friction chain guidance when the Patriot RSL mechanical assembly is otherwise in good condition.
This part is model-specific. It is not a general gate roller, v-groove wheel, guide roller, or swing gate part. Use it only where the Patriot RSL parts diagram calls for the 580060 idler roller assembly.
Compatible With
- US Automatic Patriot RSL slide gate openers
- Patriot RSL chain guidance / idler roller positions where part 580060 is specified
- Patriot RSL service work involving worn, noisy, cracked, or loose idler rollers
- Not for US Automatic Patriot swing actuators, Ranger 500, Ranger HD, Sentry 300, or non-Patriot RSL slide operators

Technician Note
If the chain is jumping, rubbing, or wearing unevenly, inspect chain tension, sprocket condition, gate rolling resistance, and operator alignment. A new roller will not correct a dragging gate or misaligned chain path by itself.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the operator is a Patriot RSL slide gate opener
- Compare the existing roller to part 580060 dimensions and mounting style
- Inspect chain tension and sprocket wear before replacing the roller
- Check gate rollers and track for binding that may overload the chain system
- Order a 2-pack if both idler roller positions are worn
Professional Advisory
Do not work around a powered slide gate chain drive while the operator can move. Disconnect power and secure the gate before mechanical service.
Product Questions and Answers
What operator uses the 580060 idler roller?
The 580060 idler roller is used on US Automatic Patriot RSL slide gate operators where the parts diagram calls for this roller assembly.
What comes with the roller assembly?
The roller assembly is commonly listed with the roller, bearing, washer, and bolt hardware.
Is this a swing gate actuator part?
No. The 580060 is for Patriot RSL slide gate chain guidance. It is not a Patriot swing actuator part.
What are the approximate dimensions?
Common listed dimensions are about 2.5 inches outside diameter, 1.06 inches wide, 0.75 inch mounting hole, and 0.2 inch track depth.
Will this fix a noisy Patriot RSL?
It can help if the noise is caused by a worn idler roller, but chain tension, sprocket wear, operator alignment, and gate track condition should also be checked.
