HySecurity MX3756, Spring, Compression
The HySecurity MX3756 is the compression spring used in the WedgeSmart DC counterbalance spring tube assembly. The spring helps the wedge mechanism move correctly by working with the spring tube, spring end guide, spring guide piston, and related hardware.
This is not a general hardware-store compression spring. Spring length, wire size, rate, material, and fit inside the WedgeSmart DC spring tube matter to system balance and safe wedge movement. A weak, broken, bent, or incorrect spring can cause poor wedge return, uneven travel, excessive load on the drive, or repeated service issues.
Use this part when the original WedgeSmart DC spring is damaged, fatigued, corroded, or identified for replacement during spring tube service. Inspect the surrounding guides, piston, fasteners, and tube at the same time because wear in those parts can shorten the life of the new spring.
Compatible With
- HySecurity WedgeSmart DC counterbalance assembly.
- WedgeSmart DC spring tube assembly applications where MX3756 is listed.
- WedgeSmart DC chassis, drive, and electrical parts diagrams listing Spring, Compression MX3756.
- Related WedgeSmart DC spring tube parts such as MX3760 spring tube assembly, MX3766 spring end guide, and MX3767 spring guide piston.
- Not a universal spring for StrongArm, SlideDriver, HydraWedge, SwingSmart, or other HySecurity operator families unless the parts diagram specifically lists MX3756.

Technician Note
When replacing the spring, inspect the spring guide, spring tube, piston, fasteners, and wedge travel. A new spring will not correct binding caused by damaged guides, bent hardware, misalignment, or debris in the spring tube area.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the operator is WedgeSmart DC.
- Verify MX3756 is the part number shown on the current parts diagram.
- Inspect MX3766, MX3767, and the spring tube assembly for wear.
- Check for corrosion, deformation, or binding in the counterbalance area.
- Do not substitute a generic compression spring by approximate size.
Professional Advisory
Counterbalance spring parts can store force. Service should be performed by a qualified gate technician familiar with the WedgeSmart DC spring tube assembly and safe mechanical lockout procedures.
Product Questions & Answers
What does MX3756 do in a WedgeSmart DC operator?
MX3756 is the compression spring used in the WedgeSmart DC counterbalance spring tube assembly to help support proper wedge movement.
Does MX3756 fit other HySecurity operators?
It should only be used where the HySecurity parts diagram lists MX3756, primarily WedgeSmart DC counterbalance applications.
Should I replace related spring guide parts at the same time?
Inspect them carefully. MX3766 and MX3767 are related guide components, and worn guides can cause poor movement or premature spring wear.
Can a generic compression spring replace MX3756?
No. The spring rate, size, and fitment must match the WedgeSmart DC design. A generic spring can affect balance and operator performance.
What symptoms may point to spring tube wear?
Binding, uneven wedge movement, slow return, unusual noise, or visible spring/guiding damage can point to spring tube or counterbalance assembly wear.
