HySecurity MX3766, Guide, Spring End
The HySecurity MX3766 is the spring end guide used in the WedgeSmart DC spring tube and counterbalance assembly. It is commonly described as a UHMW spring end guide and supports the spring end so the spring remains properly located during wedge movement.
This guide is a wear-related part. If it is cracked, grooved, distorted, or worn down, the compression spring may shift or rub, which can create noise, binding, poor movement, and added stress on the surrounding spring tube components.
Use MX3766 when the WedgeSmart DC parts diagram calls for Guide, Spring End. Because it works directly with MX3756 and MX3767, those related parts should be inspected during the same service visit.
Compatible With
- HySecurity WedgeSmart DC operators where MX3766 is listed.
- WedgeSmart DC spring tube assembly applications.
- WedgeSmart DC counterbalance assemblies using MX3756 compression spring and MX3767 spring guide piston.
- HySecurity / Nice HySecurity parts references listing Guide, Spring End MX3766.
- Not a universal guide for other HySecurity spring assemblies unless the parts diagram specifically lists MX3766.

Technician Note
A worn guide often points to a broader alignment or lubrication problem in the spring tube area. Inspect the tube, piston, spring, and mounting hardware before returning the wedge to service.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the operator is WedgeSmart DC.
- Verify MX3766 on the HySecurity parts diagram.
- Inspect MX3756 and MX3767 for wear or damage.
- Look for spring tube scoring, debris, or misalignment.
- Do not assume other UHMW guides will fit or carry the same load correctly.
Professional Advisory
The WedgeSmart DC spring tube assembly can involve heavy mechanical parts and stored spring force. Use safe lockout procedures and a qualified gate technician for repairs involving binding, spring preload, or wedge movement concerns.
Product Questions & Answers
What is MX3766?
MX3766 is the UHMW spring end guide used in supported HySecurity WedgeSmart DC spring tube assemblies.
Is MX3766 a complete spring tube assembly?
No. It is the spring end guide only unless the supplier states otherwise. The complete spring tube assembly is a different reference.
What related parts should be inspected?
Inspect MX3756 compression spring, MX3767 spring guide piston, and the spring tube assembly.
Does MX3766 fit StrongArm or SlideDriver operators?
Not by default. It should be used only where the installed operator parts diagram lists MX3766.
Why does guide wear matter?
Guide wear can let the spring shift or rub, which can cause binding, noise, poor movement, and premature wear on related components.
