AES ENCIP65-LG, 200 x 150 x 55mm iGate Enclosure ONLY. IP65
The AES ENCIP65-LG is a large IP65 plastic enclosure used for compatible AES iGate installations. It measures 200 x 150 x 55 mm and provides a protective housing for low-voltage iGate access control equipment where the device needs to be mounted in a more protected enclosure.
This is the enclosure only. It should not be confused with a complete iGate cellular gate opener, iGate Wi-Fi controller, relay device, power supply, antenna kit, SIM card, or finished access control package. The enclosure provides the housing, but the electronics and installation accessories must be confirmed separately.
What This Enclosure Does
The ENCIP65-LG provides a protective plastic housing for compatible AES iGate equipment. It is useful when an iGate device needs a more secure and weather-resistant mounting location, especially at gate columns, equipment posts, low-voltage access control areas, or service locations where the device should not be left exposed.

- Generic IP65 plastic enclosures: May have different dimensions, mounting hole positions, lid design, gasket quality, cable entry options, or internal clearance.
- Metal enclosures: Metal housings may affect wireless or cellular signal and should not be substituted without confirming the installation requirements.
Not Intended For
- Replacing the iGate controller or cellular gate opener electronics
- Replacing a relay board, PCB, SIM card, cellular module, antenna, or power supply
- Replacing an OPYN, Praetorian, Prime, or other AES intercom enclosure unless compatibility is confirmed
- Housing high-voltage gate motor wiring
- Charging batteries or powering access control equipment by itself
- Creating a weather-rated installation after unsealed holes, oversized openings, or improper cable entries
- Bypassing gate operator safety devices, emergency access, fire access, or monitored entrapment protection

- Approved cable glands, grommets, sealant, mounting screws, and weather-protection hardware where required by the installation
Technician Note
The enclosure rating depends heavily on the installation. Drilling extra holes, using the wrong cable entry, leaving unused openings, crushing the gasket, or mounting the box where water can sit against the cable entry can reduce the protection the enclosure provides. Use proper cable glands, drip loops, and sealing practices for the site.
Also consider wireless signal before mounting. Cellular, Wi-Fi, and RF devices can perform poorly if the enclosure is placed behind metal, inside a shielded cabinet, too low to the ground, or in an area with weak signal. Confirm the antenna route and signal conditions before final mounting.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- Confirm the exact part number is ENCIP65-LG.
- Confirm the required enclosure size is 200 x 150 x 55 mm.
- Confirm the installed AES device is part of the iGate product family.
- Confirm the internal space is large enough for the device, wiring, and cable bend radius.
- Confirm whether the smaller ENCIP65-SM enclosure is the correct part instead.
- Confirm whether the job requires an enclosure only or a complete iGate device with enclosure.
- Confirm the antenna, power, relay, and cable entry locations before drilling.
- Confirm whether cable glands, grommets, mounting screws, backplate, or sealing parts must be ordered separately.
- Confirm the enclosure location is suitable for weather exposure, service access, and signal performance.
Installation and Service Notes
- Mount the enclosure on a solid surface using suitable fasteners for the wall, post, or gate column.
- Use proper cable glands or grommets for cable entry points.
- Seal unused openings so the enclosure can maintain its weather protection.
- Do not leave the lid gasket pinched, twisted, dirty, or missing.
- Use a drip loop where cables enter from above or from exposed areas.
- Avoid mounting the enclosure where it will sit in standing water or direct spray from irrigation.
- Keep low-voltage access control wiring separated from high-voltage gate operator wiring.
- After installation, test the iGate device, relay trigger, network or cellular connection, and any connected access control functions.
Professional Advisory
Low-voltage gate access equipment, enclosure mounting, cable entry sealing, antenna routing, and iGate service should be handled by a qualified gate access or low-voltage technician when the wiring is unclear or the system controls an automated gate. Do not use an enclosure replacement, wiring changes, or accessory mounting to bypass required gate safety devices, emergency access equipment, fire access equipment, monitored photo eyes, safety edges, or operator safety circuits.
Product Questions & Answers
What is the AES ENCIP65-LG?
The AES ENCIP65-LG is a large IP65 plastic enclosure for compatible AES iGate installations. It measures 200 x 150 x 55 mm and is sold as the enclosure only.
Does the ENCIP65-LG include the iGate device?
No. This listing is for the enclosure only. It does not include the iGate controller, cellular module, Wi-Fi device, relay board, SIM card, antenna, power supply, or wiring accessories unless your package specifically states otherwise.
What size is the ENCIP65-LG enclosure?
The ENCIP65-LG measures 200 x 150 x 55 mm, which is approximately 7.9 in. x 5.9 in. x 2.2 in.
Is this the same as ENCIP65-SM?
No. ENCIP65-LG is the larger 200 x 150 x 55 mm enclosure. ENCIP65-SM is the smaller related iGate enclosure and should not be substituted unless the smaller size is correct for the installation.
Is the ENCIP65-LG weatherproof?
It is listed as an IP65 enclosure, but the final weather protection depends on proper installation. Drilled holes, cable entries, gaskets, glands, and mounting location all affect how well the enclosure protects the equipment.
Can this enclosure be used for any AES product?
No. It should be used only where the installed AES device and parts listing call for this iGate enclosure or where the installer has confirmed size, mounting, wiring, and environmental requirements.
What should be checked before installing this enclosure?
Before installation, check enclosure size, device fit, cable entry locations, antenna routing, gasket condition, mounting surface, weather exposure, and whether the required cable glands or mounting hardware are included.
