AES OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US, Multi Resident IP Video Callbox w/Touchscreen, Powder Coat Imperial. Ethernet Ready. (Vertical Flush Mount)
The AES OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US is a flush-mount multi-resident IP video callbox with touchscreen for compatible AES OPYN-MULTI access control and telephone entry applications. It is designed for apartment buildings, condos, gated communities, commercial properties, office buildings, managed residential sites, and other multi-user entry points where visitors need to locate and call residents or authorized users from a touchscreen entry panel.
This model is the IP/Ethernet flush-mount version in the OPYN-MULTI range. The supplied product title identifies it as an Ethernet-ready powder-coated imperial unit with vertical flush-mount style. It should be matched to installations where the site requires a recessed flush-mount callbox with a wired LAN/Ethernet network connection instead of a 4G cellular model.
The OPYN-MULTI platform is an Android-based touchscreen entry system designed around modern video calling, app management, credential access, QR access, facial recognition, and multi-resident directory use where supported by the installed configuration and active service plan. This page item should be treated as the full IP flush-mount OPYN-MULTI callbox package, not as a monitor, accessory, replacement shell, credential, or keypad-only part.
What This Callbox Does
The OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US gives a multi-resident property a touchscreen visitor entry station with IP/Ethernet connectivity. Visitors can use the touchscreen interface to locate residents or authorized contacts, initiate calls, and request access. Property managers and authorized administrators can manage users and access settings through the supported AES OPYN system tools where configured.

Technician Note
The biggest field check on this model is the network path. An IP/Ethernet OPYN-MULTI system depends on a reliable LAN connection at the final mounting location. Before installation, confirm cable route, full-copper Ethernet cable quality, switch/router access, IP addressing, firewall/router settings, PoE or DC power method, and internet availability if cloud/app features will be used.
Flush-mount planning also matters. The installer should confirm the cutout, backbox depth, cable entry, hinge/key access, service clearance, drainage, sealing, wall material, and future service access before cutting into a wall or pillar. This is not the same install approach as the OPYN-MULTI-IP-IB-US surface-mount version.

- Confirm local code, fire access, emergency access, and UL 325 gate safety requirements before connecting to an automated gate.
Installation and Service Notes
- Confirm Ethernet/LAN connection at the final mounting location before installation.
- Plan the flush-mount cutout and backbox position before cutting the wall, column, or entry structure.
- Keep the service door, lock, hinge, and cable area accessible after installation.
- Use proper sealing, weather protection, conduit, and cable strain relief for outdoor installations.
- Use full copper Ethernet cable for network and PoE connections where required.
- Keep low-voltage communication and relay wiring separated from high-voltage gate operator wiring where practical.
- Use properly rated wiring and surge protection where the site requires it.
- Confirm network connection, IP setup, router/firewall settings, and portal communication before final turnover.
- Set up residents, users, access levels, QR codes, facial IDs, keypad codes, and credentials only through authorized administrative access.
- Test calling, video, audio, app notification, QR access, keypad code access, credential access, relay output, and activity logging where used.
- Confirm that emergency access, fire access, monitored photo eyes, safety edges, loop functions, and operator safety inputs still work after the system is connected.
Professional Advisory
OPYN-MULTI system installation, Ethernet/LAN setup, access control programming, credential enrollment, relay wiring, gate operator integration, and network troubleshooting should be handled by a qualified gate access, low-voltage, network, or access control technician. Do not use OPYN-MULTI programming, relay wiring, credential setup, QR access, facial recognition, or app configuration to bypass monitored photo eyes, safety edges, emergency access equipment, fire access equipment, tenant authorization, or gate operator safety circuits.

The AES OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US is an IP/Ethernet flush-mount multi-resident video callbox with touchscreen for compatible AES OPYN-MULTI access control and telephone entry applications.
Is this the flush-mount OPYN-MULTI model?
Yes. The FB version should be treated as the flush-mount/backbox version. Confirm the project requires flush mounting before ordering, because surface-mount OPYN-MULTI models use a different enclosure style.
Does this model use Ethernet?
Yes. This is the IP/Ethernet-ready version and requires a suitable LAN connection at the installation location. Confirm cable route, network equipment, PoE or power method, and router/firewall requirements before installation.
No. OPYN-MULTI-4G-FB-US is the 4G cellular flush-mount version. OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US is the IP/Ethernet flush-mount version.
No. OPYN-MULTI-IP-IB-US is the related IP surface-mount version. OPYN-MULTI-IP-FB-US is the flush-mount version.
What credential type should be used with OPYN-MULTI?
Current OPYN-MULTI specifications commonly reference 13.56 MHz MiFare / NFC credential support. Confirm the installed reader and system configuration before ordering credentials.
Does this callbox include the indoor monitor?
No. Indoor OPYN monitors such as OPYN-MON-US and OPYN-MON-10-US are separate accessories unless your actual package specifically states otherwise.
Can this unit control a gate or door?
It can be connected to compatible gate, door, or lock release circuits where the relay wiring is properly designed and confirmed. Do not connect it in a way that bypasses required gate safety, emergency access, or fire access equipment.
