AES OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH, Shell Assembly, OPYN-PRO-4G, Stainless Steel Pedestal
The AES OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH is a stainless steel shell assembly for compatible OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal-mount units. It is used as a replacement housing when the original OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal shell has been damaged, weathered, dented, scratched, or worn from outdoor exposure and regular service use.
This is a shell assembly only. It should not be confused with a complete OPYN-PRO-4G callbox, keypad, proximity reader, camera assembly, touchscreen, PCB, power supply, PoE injector, built-in 4G router, SIM card, antenna, or finished access control system. The existing electronics and related components must be reused or ordered separately where required.
What This Shell Assembly Does
The OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH provides the replacement stainless steel outer shell for a compatible pedestal-mounted OPYN-PRO-4G unit. It helps restore the physical housing and appearance of the access control station when the existing shell is no longer suitable for service.
- Replacement shell assembly for compatible OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal units
- Stainless steel finish
- Designed for pedestal-mount OPYN-PRO-4G applications
- Used when the original housing is damaged, weathered, dented, or worn
- Helps restore the appearance and physical housing of the OPYN-PRO-4G station
- Housing / shell only; electronics are not included
- Useful for service repairs, refurbishment, and field replacement work
Compatible With
The AES OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH is intended for compatible AES OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal-mounted systems where the current parts listing or service requirement calls for the stainless steel pedestal shell assembly. Always confirm the exact OPYN Pro model, mount style, finish, and part number before ordering.
- Select AES OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal-mount units
- OPYN-PRO-4G stainless steel pedestal applications where the shell assembly is damaged or weathered
- Service replacements where the required part number is OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH
- Installations where the original OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal shell needs replacement without replacing the complete intercom
- Pedestal-mounted OPYN Pro 4G systems where stainless steel finish is required
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order this shell by appearance alone. AES uses similar OPYN Pro shell assemblies across 4G, IP, powder-coated, stainless steel, pedestal-mount, and architectural-mount versions. These parts may look similar in photos but are not automatically interchangeable.
- Confirm the required part number is OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH.
- Confirm the installed system is OPYN-PRO-4G, not OPYN-PRO-IP.
- Confirm the unit is pedestal mounted.
- Confirm the finish required is stainless steel, not powder-coated black.
- Confirm this is not being ordered as a complete intercom or callbox.
- Confirm whether any screws, seals, brackets, gaskets, faceplate hardware, or mounting hardware are included with your actual package.
- Confirm that the existing electronics, keypad, reader, camera, wiring, antenna, and internal parts are reusable or being ordered separately.

Technician Note
This part is for physical housing replacement, not electronic troubleshooting. If the OPYN-PRO-4G unit has calling, video, cellular, app, relay, keypad, card reader, or network problems, check power, PoE or 24V input, SIM/data service, router status, antenna, relay wiring, reader wiring, internal PCB, camera module, and system settings before ordering a shell assembly.
The key fitment checks are model, mount style, and finish. OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH should be matched to a pedestal-mounted OPYN-PRO-4G unit requiring a stainless steel shell. A similar-looking IP shell, architectural shell, or powder-coated shell may not fit or may not match the installation.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- Confirm the exact part number is OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH.
- Confirm the installed unit is OPYN-PRO-4G.
- Confirm the installed unit is pedestal mounted.
- Confirm stainless steel finish is required.
- Confirm that OPYN-PRO-4G-PBK-SH is not required instead for a powder-coated black pedestal shell.
- Confirm that OPYN-PRO-IP-PSK-SH is not required instead for an IP pedestal unit.
- Confirm that the existing electronics, keypad, reader, camera, 4G router, antenna, and wiring are reusable or being replaced separately.
- Confirm whether screws, seals, gaskets, mounting hardware, or service parts are included with your actual package.
- Confirm this is not being ordered to repair an electronic, network, cellular, relay, or credential problem.
Installation and Service Notes
- Power down the OPYN-PRO-4G system before removing electronics or handling internal wiring.
- Label wiring and take reference photos before removing boards, harnesses, keypad wiring, reader wiring, camera connections, antenna routing, or router connections.
- Transfer only compatible parts into the replacement shell.
- Do not force electronics, brackets, connectors, or screws into the shell if alignment does not match.
- Inspect seals, gaskets, cable entries, antenna openings, and mounting points during reassembly.
- Keep low-voltage access wiring separated from high-voltage gate operator wiring.
- After reassembly, test power, cellular connection, video/audio, keypad operation, proximity reader operation, relay output, and gate or door release.
- Confirm required gate safety devices, emergency access, fire access, and operator safety circuits still work after service.
Professional Advisory
OPYN-PRO-4G shell replacement, internal component transfer, access control wiring, relay wiring, antenna routing, and cellular/network service should be handled by a qualified gate access or low-voltage technician when the unit controls an automated gate or managed entry point. Do not use a shell replacement, wiring change, or service repair to bypass monitored photo eyes, safety edges, emergency access equipment, fire access equipment, access control authorization, or operator safety circuits.
Product Questions & Answers
What is the AES OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH?
The AES OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH is a stainless steel shell assembly for compatible OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal-mounted units. It is used to replace a damaged, weathered, or worn shell.
Is this shell for pedestal-mount units?
Yes. This shell assembly should be treated as a pedestal-mount OPYN-PRO-4G housing replacement. Confirm the installed unit is pedestal mounted before ordering.
Does OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH include the intercom electronics?
No. This is a shell assembly / housing replacement only. It does not include the OPYN-PRO-4G electronics, keypad, reader, camera, speaker, microphone, PCB, power supply, PoE injector, 4G router, SIM card, or antenna.
No. OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH is the stainless steel pedestal shell. OPYN-PRO-4G-PBK-SH is the related powder-coated black pedestal shell for OPYN-PRO-4G applications.
Is this the same as an OPYN-PRO-IP shell?
No. OPYN-PRO-4G-PSK-SH is for OPYN-PRO-4G pedestal applications. OPYN-PRO-IP shell assemblies are related but should not be substituted unless AES parts documentation confirms compatibility.
Can this shell fix an OPYN-PRO-4G that is not working?
Not by itself. This shell replaces the physical housing. If the OPYN-PRO-4G is not powering up, calling, reading credentials, showing video, connecting over 4G, or triggering the relay, the power, wiring, SIM/data service, router, antenna, PCB, reader, camera, and system settings should be checked.
What should be checked before ordering this shell?
Before ordering, confirm the installed unit is OPYN-PRO-4G, the mount style is pedestal, the required finish is stainless steel, and the existing electronics and service hardware can be transferred or replaced separately.
