HySecurity MX000235, MANIFOLD ASSY, BRAKE, SA 320-8
HySecurity MX000235 is a brake manifold kit for select HySecurity StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8 barrier gate operator applications. HySecurity parts documentation lists MX000235 as "Brake Kit, Manifold, StrongArm 36" for StrongArm 36 models.
This kit is separate from MX000146-MANIFOLD-ASSY-BRAKE-SA_p_11315.html">HySecurity MX000146, which is listed for StrongArm 14F, StrongArm 20, StrongArm 28, and StrongArmDOT 28 applications. Because StrongArm 36 uses a different hydraulic configuration, MX000235 should be selected only after confirming the operator model, serial number, pump pack layout, manifold arrangement, hose routing, and HySecurity parts diagram.
What This Brake Manifold Kit Does
The brake manifold kit is part of the StrongArm 36 hydraulic pump pack and braking system. In the approved hydraulic circuit, the brake manifold works with related valves, hoses, fittings, cylinder hardware, pump pack components, and arm-drive hardware to help manage hydraulic flow, braking behavior, and arm control.
A worn, leaking, contaminated, restricted, damaged, or incorrect brake manifold can contribute to poor arm stopping, drifting, dropping, slow response, inconsistent movement, hydraulic noise, pressure problems, or oil leakage around the pump pack. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a failed brake valve, leaking cylinder, worn cylinder pin, hose or fitting leaks, low or contaminated hydraulic fluid, relief valve issues, quick-stop valve problems, manual bypass leakage, pump pack wear, arm binding, or incorrect arm balance.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX000235 only where the operator parts diagram, original brake manifold, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number.
- Select HySecurity StrongArm 36 barrier gate operator applications where MX000235 is listed as the brake manifold kit.
- Select HySecurity HTG 320-8 applications where the parts diagram lists MX000235.
- StrongArm 36 hydraulic pump pack repairs where the original brake manifold is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX000235.
- Applications where the manifold body, valve layout, quick-disconnect sockets, hose connections, fittings, and pump pack configuration match the HySecurity parts diagram.
- Repairs where diagnosis confirms the StrongArm 36 brake manifold kit is worn, leaking, contaminated, or no longer serviceable.
Important Compatibility Warning
MX000235 is listed for StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8 applications. It should not be used as a substitute for MX000146 unless the current HySecurity parts diagram specifically confirms the change for the installed operator.
HySecurity documentation lists MX000146 for StrongArm models all except StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8. StrongArm 36 uses MX000235 because the hydraulic brake manifold configuration is different. Ordering the wrong manifold can create hose routing issues, valve mismatch problems, hydraulic control issues, or unsafe arm behavior.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the installed StrongArm 36 pump pack layout, valve arrangement, and reason the brake manifold is being replaced. Inspect the full hydraulic system before ordering only the manifold kit.

Technician Note
Before replacing MX000235, inspect the full StrongArm 36 hydraulic system. Brake or hold problems may be caused by the brake manifold, but they can also be caused by a failed brake valve, quick stop valve issue, valve coil problem, leaking hydraulic cylinder, worn cylinder pin, damaged hose, loose fitting, low fluid, contaminated fluid, relief valve issue, manual bypass leakage, pump pack wear, arm binding, or incorrect arm balance.
Do not assume the manifold kit is the failed part based only on arm drifting or poor stopping behavior. StrongArm 36 uses a different hydraulic layout than smaller StrongArm models, so the correct parts diagram and pump pack configuration should be checked before ordering.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The required part number is MX000235.
- The operator is a HySecurity StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8 application where the parts diagram lists MX000235.
- The operator is not a StrongArm 14F, 20, 28, or DOT28 application requiring MX000146 unless the current parts diagram confirms otherwise.
- The repair requires the brake manifold kit, not only the MX000234 brake valve, MX000222 manual bypass / quick stop valve, MX000185 coil, or another individual hydraulic valve.
- The pump pack manifold layout, hose routing, fittings, and valve arrangement match the original installation.
- The hydraulic issue is not caused by low fluid, contaminated fluid, leaking hoses, fittings, cylinder bypass, pump pack wear, manual bypass leakage, quick stop valve issues, or incorrect arm balance.
- The package includes the expected manifold block, brake valves, quick-disconnect sockets, seal kit, and any required valves, fittings, seals, or hardware.
- The operator has not been modified with a non-standard pump pack, manifold, or hydraulic valve arrangement.
Installation and Service Notes
- Secure the barrier arm before servicing hydraulic manifold or pump pack components.
- Do not work under an unsupported arm or counterweight-loaded arm assembly.
- Disconnect and secure operator power before servicing the pump pack area.
- Relieve hydraulic load according to the manufacturer's service procedure before opening hydraulic connections.
- Keep hydraulic ports, hoses, fittings, and manifold openings clean during service.
- Do not mix up hose routing, valve locations, coils, or fittings during reassembly.
- After service, check for leaks, proper arm hold, smooth travel, correct stopping behavior, proper limit operation, and all required safety devices.
Professional Advisory
StrongArm 36 brake manifold service should be handled by a qualified gate technician when the repair involves hydraulic pressure, pump pack diagnosis, heavy barrier arms, counterweights, brake valve operation, quick stop valve function, pressure-control valves, hose routing, fluid contamination, or unknown prior modifications. Do not bypass limit controls, stop circuits, kill switches, hydraulic protections, controller protections, access control safety inputs, photo eyes, safety edges, or any required safety devices to keep the operator running.
Product Questions & Answers
What is HySecurity MX000235?
HySecurity MX000235 is a brake manifold kit for select HySecurity StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8 barrier gate operator applications.
What StrongArm model uses MX000235?
HySecurity parts documentation lists MX000235 for StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8 applications. Use it only where the operator parts diagram confirms this part number.
Is MX000235 the same as MX000146?
No. MX000235 is listed for StrongArm 36 / HTG 320-8. MX000146 is listed for StrongArm 14F, 20, 28, and DOT28 applications and should not be treated as the same part.
Is MX000235 the same as the brake valve?
No. MX000235 is the brake manifold kit. The brake valve is a separate related hydraulic valve commonly listed as MX000234.
What may be included with MX000235?
Current listings commonly describe the kit as including the hydraulic manifold block, brake valves, quick-disconnect sockets, and a seal kit. Package contents should still be verified before ordering.
Can a brake manifold problem cause the StrongArm 36 arm to drift or drop?
It may be involved, but arm drift or dropping can also be caused by the brake valve, quick stop valve, valve coil, cylinder bypass, hose leaks, check valves, low fluid, contaminated fluid, pump pack wear, manual bypass leakage, or incorrect arm balance.
Should a technician replace this brake manifold kit?
Yes. A qualified gate technician is recommended because this repair can involve hydraulic pressure, pump pack components, heavy barrier arms, braking behavior, quick stop valves, hose routing, and safety-critical operator operation.
