HySecurity MX001090-P, BRACKET & CLAMPS, ALUM ARM
HySecurity MX001090-P is a side-mount bracket and clamp kit for select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications using a 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum barrier arm. Related base part MX001090 is commonly listed as a bracket and clamps set used to attach a side-mounted 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum arm.
The "-P" suffix may indicate a packaged service part or current kit version. Because StrongArm arm hardware can vary by arm material, arm size, mounting style, arm length, counterweight setup, and operator configuration, this part should be selected only after confirming the operator model, arm type, and HySecurity parts diagram.
What This Bracket and Clamp Kit Does
The bracket and clamps secure a side-mounted aluminum barrier arm to the approved StrongArm arm hardware arrangement. Current listings for the related MX001090 base part describe the hardware as designed for 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum arms and note that it can mount on either the left or right side where the operator configuration allows it.
A damaged, loose, missing, or incorrect bracket and clamp set can cause poor arm alignment, arm movement, vibration, loose hardware, uneven barrier arm operation, or damage after an impact. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a bent arm, worn yoke hardware, damaged breakaway hardware, incorrect counterweight setup, loose fasteners, cabinet-side arm mount damage, or prior non-factory repairs.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX001090-P only where the operator parts diagram, original arm hardware, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number or the approved related base part number MX001090.
- Select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications using side-mounted 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum arms.
- StrongArm arm hardware repairs where MX001090-P or MX001090 is listed as the bracket and clamp set for aluminum arm mounting.
- Applications where the arm material is aluminum and the arm size and side-mount configuration match the HySecurity parts diagram.
- Left- or right-side side-mount aluminum arm installations where the parts diagram confirms this bracket and clamp kit.
- Repairs where the original bracket and clamp hardware is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX001090-P or MX001090.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX001090-P based only on the word "bracket" or "clamps." This kit is associated with side-mounted aluminum arm hardware. HySecurity uses different bracket and clamp kits for aluminum, fiberglass, and wood arms, and different yoke or counterweight hardware may be used depending on arm length and configuration.
Do not substitute this kit for fiberglass arm brackets, wood arm brackets, yoke brackets, breakaway brackets, or shear bolt hardware unless the HySecurity parts diagram confirms the same part number. The wrong bracket or clamp set can create an unsafe arm mounting condition or damage the barrier arm system.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the installed StrongArm model, arm material, arm length, mounting style, and the reason the bracket and clamps are being replaced. Inspect the full arm mounting area before ordering only this kit.
- MX001043 side-mount bracket and clamps for fiberglass arms - related but not the same part.
- MX001044 side-mount bracket and clamps for wood arms - related but not the same part.
- MX001046 bracket and yoke, counterweight type - used in different yoke/counterweight configurations.
- MX001047 bracket and yoke, non-counterweight type - used in different yoke-mounted configurations.
- Barrier arm sections - verify arm material and dimensions before ordering bracket hardware.
- Counterweights and counterweight mounts - may be required depending on arm length and configuration.
- LED light and kill switch harness components - separate accessories used on some barrier arm assemblies.
Technician Note
Before replacing MX001090-P, inspect the barrier arm, bracket faces, clamps, bolts, arm mounting surface, and cabinet-side arm hardware. If the arm was struck or the bracket is loose, check for bent aluminum arm material, elongated holes, damaged clamp surfaces, missing fasteners, counterweight imbalance, and non-factory modifications.
Do not mix bracket hardware for aluminum, fiberglass, and wood arms unless the parts diagram confirms the same hardware. Different arm materials may require different clamp surfaces, load distribution, and mounting hardware.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The required part number is MX001090-P or the approved related base number MX001090.
- The operator is a HySecurity StrongArm application using side-mounted aluminum arm hardware.
- The barrier arm is a 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum arm where the parts diagram confirms this kit.
- The repair requires the side-mount bracket and clamps, not a yoke bracket, counterweight bracket, breakaway bracket, arm sleeve, or complete arm.
- The arm is not fiberglass, wood, or another material requiring a different bracket kit.
- The side-mount orientation and left/right configuration match the operator setup.
- The arm, counterweight setup, fasteners, brackets, and mounting points are not damaged beyond bracket replacement.
- The package includes the expected bracket and clamps, or any additional fasteners are ordered separately if required.
Installation and Service Notes
- Secure the barrier arm before servicing arm mounting hardware.
- Do not work under an unsupported arm or counterweight-loaded arm assembly.
- Use the correct bracket and clamp kit for aluminum arm material.
- Do not substitute fiberglass, wood, or generic clamp hardware for aluminum arm mounting unless the parts diagram confirms it.
- Confirm arm alignment and side-mount position before tightening hardware.
- After service, verify arm balance, mounting security, normal barrier movement, and all required safety devices.
- Inspect any kill switch, LED harness, and access control safety wiring if the arm was hit or moved during repair.
Professional Advisory
StrongArm arm mounting hardware should be serviced by a qualified gate technician when the repair follows an impact, arm drop, counterweight issue, bracket damage, structural damage, wiring damage, or unknown prior modification. Do not bypass breakaway switches, kill switches, controller protections, arm safety systems, access control safety inputs, or any required safety devices to keep the operator running.
Product Questions & Answers
What is HySecurity MX001090-P?
HySecurity MX001090-P is a side-mount bracket and clamp kit for select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications using aluminum arms.
What size aluminum arm is this bracket kit commonly used with?
Related MX001090 listings describe this bracket and clamp hardware as used to attach a side-mounted 2 inch x 5 inch aluminum arm.
Is MX001090-P the same as MX001090?
MX001090 appears to be the related base part number, while MX001090-P may indicate a packaged service version. Verify the current package contents and parts diagram before substituting one for the other.
Can this bracket kit be used with fiberglass or wood arms?
No, not unless the parts diagram specifically confirms it. HySecurity lists separate bracket and clamp kits for fiberglass and wood arms, so the aluminum arm bracket kit should not be substituted by arm material alone.
Can the bracket mount on either side?
Current listings for the related MX001090 part state that the bracket and clamps can mount either left or right where the operator configuration allows it. Confirm the side-mount arrangement before installation.
Is this the complete barrier arm?
No. MX001090-P is the bracket and clamp hardware. The aluminum barrier arm, counterweights, yokes, kill switch kit, LED harness, and other arm hardware may be separate.
What should be checked before replacing this bracket and clamp kit?
Inspect the arm material, arm size, mounting points, clamps, bolts, counterweight setup, bracket faces, and any damage from impact or prior repairs before replacing only the bracket kit.
