HySecurity MX3270-P, GEARBOX WITH OIL, SAP
HySecurity MX3270-P is a gearbox with oil for select HySecurity StrongArmPark DC operator drive applications. Current distributor listings describe MX3270-P as "GEARBOX WITH OIL, SAP." Nice HySecurity StrongArmPark DC parts documentation lists MX3270 as "Gearbox, with Oil" for StrongArmPark DC models.
Current listings also associate MX3270 with StrongArmPark DC / WedgeSmart DC drive applications. Because gearbox fitment depends on the operator model, drive belt, pulley arrangement, gearmotor, mounting pattern, oil-filled gearbox configuration, and production version, MX3270-P should be selected only after confirming the original gearbox and HySecurity parts diagram.
What This Gearbox Does
The gearbox is part of the operator drive system. In the approved StrongArmPark DC drive layout, the gearmotor turns the drive belt and pulleys, and the gearbox transfers that motion into the arm-drive hardware so the barrier arm can move smoothly and consistently.
A worn, damaged, leaking, noisy, seized, or misaligned gearbox can cause grinding, rough movement, belt wear, skipping, drive faults, slow operation, no movement, uneven arm travel, or repeated drive component failure. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a worn drive belt, damaged pulley teeth, loose motor pulley, failing gearmotor, sensor target issues, physical stop misadjustment, low battery voltage, controller problems, arm binding, impact damage, or incorrect arm balance.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX3270-P only where the operator parts diagram, original gearbox, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number or the MX3270 gearbox reference.
- Select HySecurity StrongArmPark DC applications where MX3270 or MX3270-P is listed as the gearbox with oil.
- StrongArmPark DC models where the parts diagram lists MX3270 as the gearbox with oil.
- Select WedgeSmart DC applications where current parts listings or parts diagrams confirm MX3270 as the gearbox with gear oil.
- Repairs where the original gearbox is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX3270 or MX3270-P.
- Applications where the gearbox housing, mounting pattern, drive belt path, pulley arrangement, gearmotor alignment, and oil-filled gearbox configuration match the HySecurity parts diagram.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX3270-P based only on the word "gearbox." HySecurity uses different gearboxes, gearmotors, belts, pulleys, and drive components across StrongArmPark DC, WedgeSmart DC, SwingSmart, SlideSmart, SlideDriver, StrongArm, and other operator families.
The MX3270-P suffix should be verified before ordering if package contents, revision, or supplier packaging matters. In many listings, MX3270 and MX3270-P appear closely related, but the parts diagram and supplier package description should be checked before substitution.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the installed StrongArmPark DC or WedgeSmart DC drive setup and the reason the gearbox is being replaced. Inspect the full drive system before ordering only the gearbox.
- MX3585 gearmotor, 24VDC, with Hall sensor - related drive component, not the gearbox.
- MX3544 drive belt - related gearmotor-to-gearbox belt, not the gearbox.
- MX001404 gearbox pulley, 36T, 15 mm - related pulley, not the gearbox.
- MX3543 motor pulley, 24T, 15 mm - related pulley, not the gearbox.
- MX3219 target, sensor, arm - related sensor target part, not the gearbox.
- MX3103 physical stop bumper replacement kit - related stop hardware, not the gearbox.
- Mounting hardware, alignment hardware, and belt cover - inspect during gearbox replacement.
Technician Note
Before replacing MX3270-P, inspect the old gearbox for oil leakage, shaft play, rough rotation, binding, cracked housing, damaged mounting points, and abnormal noise. Also inspect the drive belt, pulleys, gearmotor, pulley alignment, sensor target, physical stop bumpers, and arm or wedge movement.
If the gearbox failed because of impact damage, belt misalignment, an over-tightened belt, a seized drive component, physical stop misadjustment, or arm/wedge binding, replacing only the gearbox may not correct the issue. The related drive components should be inspected so the replacement gearbox is not damaged prematurely.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The required part number is MX3270-P or the parts diagram confirms MX3270 as the correct gearbox with oil.
- The operator is a HySecurity StrongArmPark DC / SAP application where the parts diagram lists this gearbox.
- For WedgeSmart DC use, the parts diagram specifically confirms MX3270 for the installed operator.
- The repair requires the gearbox with oil, not the drive belt, gearmotor, pulley, physical stop bumper, sensor target, or controller.
- The gearbox mounting pattern, shaft arrangement, pulley arrangement, and drive belt path match the original installation.
- The existing drive belt, pulleys, gearmotor, sensor target, physical stops, and mounting hardware have been inspected.
- The package includes the expected gearbox with oil, or any required pulleys, belts, hardware, or oil service parts are ordered separately.
- The operator has not been modified with non-standard drive components or pulley hardware.
Installation and Service Notes
- Disconnect and secure operator power before servicing the gearbox, gearmotor, belt, or pulley area.
- Support and secure the arm or moving assembly before removing drive components.
- Do not place hands near the belt path, pulleys, gearbox, or moving arm/wedge hardware unless the operator is safely powered down.
- Inspect belt and pulley alignment before installing the replacement gearbox.
- Confirm the gearbox oil-filled condition and follow the service procedure for any oil-related checks.
- After installation, check for smooth movement, abnormal noise, belt tracking, pulley alignment, sensor response, stop contact, and correct operator travel.
- Verify all required safety devices, access control safety inputs, stop circuits, and controller protections before returning the operator to service.
Professional Advisory
Gearbox replacement should be handled by a qualified gate technician when the repair involves drive alignment, gearmotor removal, belt tension, sensor target setup, physical stop adjustment, impact damage, heavy barrier arm movement, or unknown prior modifications. Do not bypass controller protections, position sensors, limit controls, stop circuits, access control safety inputs, photo eyes, safety edges, or any required safety devices to keep the operator running.
