HySecurity MX3543, Pulley, Motor, 24T, 15 mm
HySecurity MX3543 is a 24-tooth, 15 mm wide motor pulley for select HySecurity StrongArmPark DC and WedgeSmart DC drive belt applications. Nice HySecurity StrongArmPark DC parts documentation lists MX3543 as "Pulley, Motor, 24T, 15 mm" for StrongArmPark DC models.
Current listings describe MX3543 as a 24T drive belt pulley that mounts to the motor input shaft and includes set screws. Current listing notes also state that the 15 mm wide pulley replaces an early production 9 mm version on StrongArmPark DC. Because pulley fitment depends on the operator model, motor shaft, pulley width, belt width, tooth profile, belt path, and production version, MX3543 should be selected only after confirming the original pulley and HySecurity parts diagram.
What This Motor Pulley Does
The motor pulley mounts to the gearmotor shaft and drives the timing belt in the operator drive system. In the approved StrongArmPark DC or WedgeSmart DC layout, the motor pulley works with the drive belt, gearbox pulley, gearmotor, gearbox, and related drive hardware to transfer motor rotation into operator movement.
A worn, loose, damaged, misaligned, stripped, or wrong-size motor pulley can cause belt slipping, belt tracking problems, clicking, belt tooth wear, no movement, uneven movement, drive faults, or repeated belt failure. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a worn drive belt, damaged gearbox pulley, failing gearmotor, loose set screws, gearbox binding, physical stop issues, sensor target problems, low battery voltage, controller faults, or mechanical binding in the arm or wedge assembly.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX3543 only where the operator parts diagram, original pulley, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number.
- Select HySecurity StrongArmPark DC applications where MX3543 is listed as the motor pulley.
- Select HySecurity WedgeSmart DC applications where MX3543 is listed as the 24T x 15 mm motor pulley.
- Repairs where the original motor pulley is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX3543.
- Applications where the 24-tooth pulley, 15 mm belt width, motor shaft, set screw arrangement, drive belt path, and gearbox pulley match the HySecurity parts diagram.
- Early production StrongArmPark DC applications only where the 15 mm wide pulley is confirmed as the correct replacement for the earlier 9 mm version.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX3543 based only on the words "motor pulley." HySecurity uses different motor pulleys, gearbox pulleys, belts, gearmotors, and drive components across StrongArmPark DC, WedgeSmart DC, SwingSmart, SlideSmart, StrongArm, and other operator families.
The width note matters. Current listings state that the 15 mm wide MX3543 pulley replaces an early production 9 mm version on StrongArmPark DC. Before installing, confirm the belt width, pulley width, motor shaft, gearbox pulley, belt path, and whether the operator has early or later production drive components. Mixing 9 mm and 15 mm drive parts without parts-diagram confirmation can cause belt tracking problems or early belt failure.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the installed StrongArmPark DC or WedgeSmart DC drive setup and the reason the pulley is being replaced. Inspect the full belt drive system before ordering only the motor pulley.

Technician Note
Before replacing MX3543, inspect the existing motor pulley for worn teeth, loose set screws, shaft damage, wobble, misalignment, belt tracking marks, and signs of belt debris. Also inspect the drive belt, gearbox pulley, gearmotor shaft, gearbox rotation, belt cover, physical stops, and arm or wedge movement.
If the pulley is loose or the belt is failing repeatedly, check for pulley misalignment, damaged set screw threads, worn motor shaft flat, over-tightened belt, seized gearbox, mechanical binding, or an incorrect belt width. Replacing only the pulley may not solve the problem if the drive system is out of alignment.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The required part number is MX3543.
- The operator is a HySecurity StrongArmPark DC or WedgeSmart DC application where the parts diagram lists MX3543.
- The repair requires the motor pulley, not the gearbox pulley, drive belt, gearmotor, gearbox, sensor target, or controller.
- The required pulley is 24T x 15 mm where specified by the parts diagram.
- The motor shaft, bore fit, set screw arrangement, and pulley position match the original installation.
- The drive belt width, gearbox pulley width, and belt path are compatible with the 15 mm pulley.
- Early production 9 mm drive components have been checked before installing the 15 mm pulley.
- The package includes the expected pulley and set screws, or any missing hardware is ordered separately.
Installation and Service Notes
- Disconnect and secure operator power before servicing the pulley, belt, gearmotor, or gearbox area.
- Support and secure the arm or wedge assembly before removing drive components.
- Do not place hands near the belt path, pulleys, gearmotor, gearbox, or moving arm/wedge hardware unless the operator is safely powered down.
- Confirm the pulley is seated correctly on the motor shaft and aligned with the gearbox pulley.
- Secure set screws properly and verify they contact the correct shaft flat or locking point where applicable.
- Inspect belt tracking and tension after installation.
- After service, check for smooth movement, abnormal noise, belt rubbing, slipping, pulley wobble, stop contact, and correct operator travel.
- Verify all required safety devices, access control safety inputs, stop circuits, and controller protections before returning the operator to service.
Professional Advisory
Motor pulley replacement should be handled by a qualified gate technician when the repair involves drive alignment, belt tension, gearmotor shaft damage, gearbox binding, sensor faults, physical stop adjustment, heavy barrier arm movement, wedge movement, or unknown prior modifications. Do not bypass controller protections, position sensors, limit controls, stop circuits, access control safety inputs, photo eyes, safety edges, or any required safety devices to keep the operator running.
