HySecurity MX3689, Manifold Assembly, NP (No Power)
The HySecurity MX3689 is a no-power manifold assembly for select HySecurity / Nice HySecurity StrongArm M30 and StrongArm M50 NP barrier arm applications. This manifold is part of the hydraulic panel used on no-power StrongArm M30/M50 systems and should be matched to the exact operator configuration before ordering.
In the StrongArm M30/M50 NP hydraulic panel, the manifold works with the pump pack, reservoir, hand crank, gearbox, couplers, check valve, manual bypass valve, flow control valve, relief valve, hoses, and fittings. Because this is a hydraulic control component, it should not be substituted with a generic manifold or valve block.
What This No-Power Manifold Assembly Does
The MX3689 manifold assembly helps manage hydraulic flow in the StrongArm M30/M50 no-power system. In a properly configured NP operator, the hydraulic panel allows the barrier arm to be operated without normal electrical power through the hand-crank and hydraulic pump arrangement.
This manifold is commonly associated with the brake/release function of the no-power system. Depending on the exact configuration, related check valves, needle/flow-control valves, bypass valves, and relief components help manage how the arm releases, lowers, and holds under controlled hydraulic operation.

This manifold assembly may be used with the following applications where the current HySecurity parts diagram confirms MX3689:
- Select HySecurity StrongArm M30 NP no-power barrier arm applications
- Select HySecurity StrongArm M50 NP no-power barrier arm applications

- Applications using the matching StrongArm NP pump pack, hand crank, gearbox, couplers, reservoir, valves, hoses, and hydraulic circuit layout
Important: Do not assume MX3689 fits powered StrongArm M30/M50 models, StrongArmPark, StrongArm 36, StrongArm DOT, or unrelated HySecurity hydraulic operators. The confirmed application is StrongArm M30/M50 NP no-power models where the current parts diagram lists this manifold assembly.
Similar Parts That Are Not Interchangeable
Hydraulic manifolds and brake/release valve assemblies can look similar but may not be interchangeable. Valve cavity, port layout, pressure rating, flow-control behavior, bypass function, fittings, hose routing, and operator model all matter.

Important Compatibility Warning
The MX3689 manifold assembly is tied to the StrongArm M30/M50 NP no-power hydraulic panel. It should not be ordered based only on the word manifold or by matching a similar hydraulic block. The no-power hydraulic circuit, valve layout, hose routing, fittings, pump pack, reservoir, hand-crank system, and arm configuration must match.
If the barrier arm will not release, lower, hold, or operate smoothly in no-power mode, do not assume the manifold is the only failed part. Check the hydraulic fluid, check valve, manual bypass valve, flow control valve, relief valve, hoses, fittings, pump pack, reservoir, gearbox, couplers, hand crank, and arm mechanics before replacing the manifold assembly.

Technician Note
Before replacing the MX3689 manifold assembly, inspect the complete no-power hydraulic circuit. A no-power arm that will not release, lowers too quickly, will not lower, will not hold, or feels hard to crank may have a valve, hose, fitting, fluid, pump pack, reservoir, gearbox, coupler, hand-crank, or mechanical arm issue instead of a failed manifold body.
Check for contaminated hydraulic fluid, air in the system, blocked ports, leaking fittings, stuck check valves, incorrect bypass valve position, flow control problems, relief valve issues, pump resistance, and crossed hose routing. If the barrier was impacted or modified, inspect the arm structure and hydraulic panel before ordering hydraulic control components.

Installation and Service Notes
- Disconnect power where applicable and follow proper lockout procedures before servicing the barrier operator.
- Relieve hydraulic pressure according to the operator service procedure before removing hoses, valves, or manifold components.
- Mark all hydraulic hoses and ports before disassembly to prevent crossed lines during installation.
- Cap or protect open hydraulic ports and hoses to keep dirt, water, and debris out of the system.
- Use only the correct fittings, seals, valves, and hydraulic fluid for the StrongArm M30/M50 NP hydraulic circuit.
- Do not adjust or defeat relief valves, bypass valves, or flow controls without following HySecurity service procedures.
- After installation, check for leaks, controlled no-power release, hand-crank operation, arm lowering behavior, and proper arm hold position.
- Test all required safety devices, vehicle detection, access-control inputs, and operator protections before returning the barrier to service.
Professional Advisory
The MX3689 is a hydraulic manifold assembly used in a StrongArm M30/M50 no-power barrier system. Service should be performed by a qualified gate technician when the repair involves hydraulic pressure, manual release behavior, gravity lowering, valve replacement, flow control adjustment, relief valve diagnosis, pump pack work, heavy barrier arm movement, or unknown prior modifications.
Do not bypass hydraulic controls, relief valves, manual bypass valves, flow controls, vehicle detection, controller protections, safety devices, disconnects, or barrier safeguards to keep the system operating. If the barrier arm lowers unpredictably, will not hold position, binds, leaks, or cannot be controlled safely, the system should be inspected before continued use.
Product Questions & Answers
What is the HySecurity MX3689?
The HySecurity MX3689 is a no-power hydraulic manifold assembly used on select StrongArm M30/M50 NP barrier arm applications where the parts diagram confirms this part number.
What does NP mean on the MX3689 manifold assembly?
NP means No Power. In this application, it refers to the StrongArm M30/M50 no-power hydraulic panel used for manually controlled hydraulic operation without normal electrical power.
Does MX3689 fit all StrongArm M30/M50 operators?
No. MX3689 is for StrongArm M30/M50 no-power models where the current parts diagram lists this manifold. Powered models or different electrical/hydraulic configurations may use different parts.
Is MX3689 the same as the hand crank or gearbox?
No. MX3689 is the hydraulic manifold assembly. The hand crank, gearbox, couplers, pump pack, reservoir, and valves are related no-power system components but are separate parts unless included in a specific kit.
Can a no-power arm problem be caused by something other than the manifold?
Yes. No-power operation problems can be caused by low or contaminated fluid, air in the hydraulic system, stuck valves, hose restrictions, pump pack problems, gearbox or coupler issues, hand-crank problems, or mechanical arm binding.
Should hoses be marked before replacing the MX3689 manifold?
Yes. All hydraulic hoses and ports should be clearly marked before removal. Crossed hydraulic lines can cause incorrect operation, unsafe arm movement, leaks, or damage to related components.
Should a technician install the MX3689 manifold assembly?
Yes. This repair involves hydraulic pressure, valve function, no-power release behavior, and heavy barrier arm movement, so it should be handled by a qualified gate technician.
