LiftMaster 363LM 2-Pack 3-Button Remote Control Replaced by 894LT 4-Button
This product listing is for replacing the older LiftMaster 363LM three-button digital remote control with the current LiftMaster 894LT four-button Security+ 2.0 learning remote. The 2-pack format is intended for customers who need the same replacement path across multiple vehicles, staff members, residents, or access-control users. Even though the older 363LM was a three-button remote, the 894LT gives the customer four independently programmable buttons for compatible LiftMaster/Chamberlain-family doors, gates, receivers, and commercial access-control equipment.
The 894LT is commonly used in gated communities, commercial properties, and multi-door residential applications where one handheld remote needs to operate more than one compatible device. Each button can be set for a supported Security+ 2.0, Security+ 315 MHz, or Security+ 390 MHz application, and the remote also supports cloning select LiftMaster DIP-code remotes when a working original remote is available. That makes it a practical replacement path for older multi-button digital remotes when the receiver technology matches.
For customers replacing a 363LM, this is a current replacement listing, not an exact reproduction of the older remote. The 894LT should be matched to the existing receiver, learn-button color, frequency/code type, or working DIP-code transmitter before ordering. Older access systems can be receiver-dependent, so do not rely only on the opener housing or the remote button count.
Compatible With / Common Applications
Compatibility depends on the installed receiver, learn-button color, code type, and whether the system uses direct programming or cloning from an existing remote. The applications below are the compatibility paths found during review; verify the actual receiver or opener before ordering.
- Older LiftMaster 363LM three-button digital remote replacement path when the receiver/code type matches.
- LiftMaster 894LT / 894LTMC four-button Security+ 2.0 learning remote applications.
- LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, AccessMaster, and Raynor openers using supported Chamberlain/LiftMaster Security+ radio technology.
- Security+ 2.0 products and receivers using the 890 Series remote family, including 891LM, 892LT, 893LM, and 894LT style applications where the receiver supports them.
- Security+ 315 MHz products and receivers using the 370 Series remote family, including 370LM, 371LM, 372LM, 373LM, and 374LM style applications.
- Security+ 390 MHz products and receivers using the 970 Series remote family, including 970LM, 971LM, 972LM, 973LM, and 974LM style applications.
- Red/orange learn-button Security+ 390 MHz, purple learn-button Security+ 315 MHz, and yellow learn-button Security+ 2.0 applications when programmed by the correct procedure.
- Select gate operators, commercial door operators, and commercial receivers that accept LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 or Security+ remote controls.
- Select 850LM, 860LM, STAR1000, and compatible commercial receiver applications when the receiver channel and remote type are set up correctly.
- DIP-code cloning path for select LiftMaster 61LM 390 MHz, 361LM 315 MHz, and 811LM Security+ 2.0 encrypted DIP-code remotes when a working donor remote is available.
- Common older remote search paths including 61LM, 62LM, 63LM, 331LM, 333LM, 361LM, 362LM, 363LM, 374LM, 974LM, 811LM, and 813LM where the installed receiver supports that programming or cloning path.
- Not intended for incompatible Billion Code/green learn-button systems unless a supported DIP-code cloning path and working donor remote are present.

Technician Note
The 894LT is the correct style for these 363LM three-button replacement listings because it gives the customer four independently programmable buttons. Do not assume that a three-button legacy remote and a four-button current remote use the same programming method. Match the installed receiver, learn-button color, or working DIP-code transmitter before ordering.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the old remote model number and the current replacement remote number on this listing.
- Check the opener or receiver learn-button color: yellow, purple, or red/orange are the common supported paths for this remote family.
- For gated-community or DIP-code systems, confirm whether a working donor remote is available for cloning.
- Verify whether the receiver is LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, AccessMaster, Raynor, or another Chamberlain-built compatible receiver.
- Confirm the number of remotes needed before ordering a pack quantity.
- Do not order this remote for unsupported Billion Code/green learn-button systems without confirming a valid cloning path.
Professional Advisory
Garage door and gate radio controls should never be used to bypass required safety devices. If a door or gate moves unpredictably, reverses unexpectedly, has missing photo eyes, has damaged sensing edges, or has unsafe travel, stop using the operator and have the system inspected by a qualified gate or garage door technician before adding or programming new remotes.
Product Questions & Answers
Does this replace the older LiftMaster 363LM three-button remote?
Yes, this listing is written as a current 894LT replacement path for the older LiftMaster 363LM three-button digital remote when the installed receiver or opener supports the 894LT programming method.
Why is the replacement a four-button remote?
The 894LT is the current four-button learning remote used for many older multi-button replacement paths. The extra button does not hurt compatibility; each button can be programmed independently for supported applications.
Can every remote in this 2-pack be set up for the same doors or gates?
Yes, each remote in the 2-pack can be programmed individually. They can be set up the same way for multiple users if the same compatible receiver, opener, or donor remote is used during programming.
What older remote families are commonly tied to this compatibility path?
Common related paths include 374LM and 974LM for direct replacement references, plus 61LM, 361LM, and 811LM for supported DIP-code cloning. Older 315 MHz and 390 MHz Security+ remote families may also be involved depending on the receiver.
Is the 894LT safe to use on a commercial door or gate?
It can be used with compatible commercial door and gate receiver systems, but it must not be used to work around required monitored safety devices, photo eyes, or sensing edges. Unsafe movement should be inspected by a qualified technician.
